Pager Troubles!

Hey guys,

I've been having a little bit of trouble with the pager system. Everytime I load a page on the boards it pops up with a blank message from nobody. So I turned it off in my options and it's still doing it. Is anyone else having this trouble?
 
Yea, I've noticed that lately as well. It seems to happen ever time I use the Back button to get to a previous page (usually a search) where I had previously received a message. I think it remembers the page message but doesn't realise that you've already dealt with it. There is probably a more techy explanation but I'm not that guy 🙂

Happens to me too, and always after reading a page. It's harmless...and will go away if you Ctrl+F5 your page. I wouldn't worry too much on it.

Well, this Ctrl+F5 method of which you speak doesn't seem to have done the trick, I'm afraid. It reloads the page and another blank message pops up.

I think I broked my pager thingy... 🙁
 
I think it worked that time. I finally got the original message that started the whole thing off! YAY! Thanks guys... you are stars!
 
I ctrl F5ed, and shutdown the browser, cleared my cache and cookies from the browser, and I'm still getting a pager every time I open a new window. What next? I only get it when I sign on.
 
And it was great for a day or so, but now it's back. C'mon...is someone April foolin me? lol.

No seriously though, is there no way I can fix this myself? What am I doing wrong that makes me susceptible to this?

What browser are you using again? Because you had a new message in there...so maybe it's you somehow not being able to read them?

Will you send me one so I can see if I get the same problem?
 
Well it's OK now. This didn't originally start today, so I assumed I was safe, but I remember what they say about assume-ing. 😉

But yeah if I get the problem again I'll try to send you one.
 
It started again after I paged you. Every time I open a page a pager pops up.

Hang on I'll just stop it from my browser, but it will mean I won't be able to get any pop-ups from this site.
 
Firefox. I just disallowed pop-ups from this site, and problem solved for now, but now I can't get pop-ups for PMs and such.
 
Hang on, let me check something. It's something on your end (like your browser) because otherwise all of us would have the same problem. I may need you to allow popups again to test it but I'll let you know.
 
Well no updates to the actual pager system available, and other firefox users don't seem to have a problem. Maybe it's a problem with java?

I've found another system, so maybe I'll switch us to that and see if it works better.

That one looks interesting. I'm not getting continuous pop-ups, but I did get your message, even though pop-ups are blocked in my browser. Did you get my reply?
