Hahah - with that said, what is everyone thinking of giving up for Lent? I always think drinking. But then I remember that pesky St. Patrick's Day celebration smack dab in the middle of Lent. Darn my irish luck. Any ideas? I'm thinking taxis. I live Downtown Toronto (Canada) and they're so convenient, it's like a mini New York cit and I take them almost daily. Maybe I should cut back? I'd probably have a ton of money left over!
 
Oh darn, my roommate who alway makes us pancakes is out of town 🙁

Well, honestly, I had no idea there was something like pancake day. Here we're still in the middle of crazy carneval.

Maybe I should try to make my own pancakes 😀 I mean how hard can it be? Basically just mix mix, eggs flour and sugar and then pour it into a pan right?

Except the last time I made some they kept falling apart when I tried to turn them over.. bah..

And I can never get the mixture to turn out smooth - even though I sieve the flour into the bowl, when I start to whisk in the eggs and milk it turns lumpy XD

I have mine with lemon juice and sugar, too. No better way to eat them, IMO!
 
Me and a group of friends made pancakes on Sunday because we were all busy tonight....it was so much fun!!

Although they turned out pretty...well rubbish...we just smothered them in Chocolate spread and toffee sauce so they were edible. Yum :bounce:

Oh oh and i flipped one successfullly for the first time without it landing on the floor :lol2:
 
I'm proud to say I successfully made my first pancakes today in years 😀

And they turned out considerably better than those a few years back 😀 They're even round this time 😀
 
Pancakes, yay! Pankcake-y goodness. I hope we have pancakes later, it's illegal not to.
But lent is afterwards...Ack. I never bother with lent.
 
I want pancakes. But i'm going to give them a miss. Because i'm having a pancake party on Saturday. Yay. Any excuse to get drunk. Booze and pancakes, two things i like. 🙂
 
I think for lent you have to stay away from stuff, no meat, no candy, no smoking, hell no to alcohol. Oh, and I think Friday is fish day or something. Starting from ight about now until Easter (40 days) you have to stick to that diet.
