The only thing I didn't like was Xander. Seriously, Jenny just died and Giles went to fight Angel, stop being an annoying d*ck, not everything needs to be a joke, Xander did slightly ruin the atmosphere of the episode. This episode reminds me how annoying Xander becomes in later episodes.

Angel should've been killed in 'Innocence'. Instead, Buffy let him escape, allowing him to kill countless of innocents over the following months and attempt to suck the world into hell. More specifically, he targeted the Scoobies which, y'know, Xander cares about; Jenny was just the first victim. I can't exactly fault Xander for using comedy to deal with a stressful situation.

I can. It was rude. I use comedy to deal with stressful situations sometimes and while I agree with you, Buffy should've killed Angel in Innocence and it makes me so angry every time I watch that episode that he wasn't, Xander was rude in this episode. There are times humor helps, and there are times it's just disrespectful. This is one of those it's just disrespectful.

Well, I wasn't suggesting that Xander's comedy was in any way helpful in this episode. But anger and stress don't exactly come in a nice gift wrapped box. I guess it just baffles me that everyone is full of sympathy for Buffy who, like it or not, carries some of the blame for people getting killed and eaten, yet Xander expressing his feelings - albeit very harshly - is some kind of horrible offense.

I love season 2 and passion is one of the best buffy episodes ever in my opinion!
for one thing, blondie bear is really cute in season 2 🙂

I guess it just baffles me that everyone is full of sympathy for Buffy who, like it or not, carries some of the blame for people getting killed and eaten, yet Xander expressing his feelings - albeit very harshly - is some kind of horrible offense.

But Xander immediately after, in the same scene, expresses himself very seriously, and I felt it was much more appropriate and tolerable. You don't go to funerals and make jokes. My biggest problem is the way he expresses himself, he should be more serious when situations are this bad, when faced with generic demons I don't have a problem (besides the fact I don't find him funny, but that's another conversation), I think it comes down to realizing when jokes are fine and when they are unnecessary

Passion is one of my favourite episodes of all tv programs, I never get bored of watching it and I can say that having probably seen it thousands of times, and the passion poem is absolutely immense. I love it so much I'm actually considering getting the last line (without passion we'd be truely dead) tattooed on my wrist, my friend has actually got the whole thing on her leg.

Hey guys.. Uhm I don't know if someone has already mentioned this.. But today I re-watched "Passion" and suddenly I began to wonder how it's possible for Angelus to get into Giles' place and place Jenny's body there.. Has someone invited him in before he turned evil? Just don't recall any episodes from season 1 or 2 where Angel is at Giles' :s

I think it was just implied that he had been invited in before he went evil. I presumed he would have been when he was helping Buffy on stuff. They did the revocation spell after he killed Jenny. (Odd they hadn't before...??)

In regards to Angelus being able to enter Giles place - why do we have to be explicably SHOWN everything. Saying 'when was he invited?' because we haven't seen it happen is like questioning how Buffy got to school when we didn't see her leaving the house or walking. He entered the house, we are never told that he WASN'T invited, therefore, he was.

Also just another point, it is said in the episode that after Willow performed the spell at Buffy's house that they would be performing the spell at Giles house as well. This, to me, is a pretty clear indication that Angel was invited into Giles's house and that they were aware he could enter. I also think it makes perfect sense for them to perform the spell at Buffy's house before Giles's as Angelus had already entered Buffy's house and seemed to be the number one target.
