Patrick Swayze dies at 57

That is really sad, but I knew it was coming. He was so sick looking near the end. It was only a matter of time.. but may he Rest in Peace 🙁
 
That's sad. He shared one of my passions.

Ironically, it was his love of horses that almost ended his career. He was thrown and badly injured not long after filming "Ghost," and by the time he was recovered, success had passed him by.
This was really shocking to wake up to and hear about on GMTV this morning. I really thought he was going to beat this cancer and come out on top again, I really didn't expect to hear he had died. Its so sad.
 
Patrick always seemed to be a true professional, giving his best in whatever role he was playing, which must not have been easy in the early days, considering some of those movies. As far as I know, he never complained when a riding accident effectively ended his rise to be a top star, and, when diagnosed with cancer, never seemed to be anything but optimistic and determined to beat it. He died as much of a fighter as Dalton, his character in "Road House," ever was. Hopefully, like his character in "Ghost," he was able to take the love with him on his final journey. The Bible says, in Revelations, that the final Army Of The Apocalypse will descend from Heaven on horseback. If that is true, then hopefully Patrick Swayze will have eternity to enjoy the pasttime that he lover so well.

Happy trails, Mr Swayze. Rest well. You will be missed.
 
I loved him as Darry in The Outsiders. All my friends loved Matt Dillon or Rob Lowe but I loved Patrick and that was quite a while before Dirty Dancing.

I never really seen any of his films, but still. 🙁 RIP
 
I still can't believe it. 🙁 It's so sad. I've always thought he'd beat the cancer. R.I.P, Patrick. 🙁
 
Patrick Swayze will definitely be missed... He was a damn good actor, and he is famous for some pretty awesome roles. I know the past few years have been hell on him, and I hope he is finally at peace. Rest in Peace, Patrick.
 
I just heard this on the radio and I was so shocked and upset. I'm not gonna be able to watch Ghost in the same way anymore....or Keeping Mum. 🙁.
 
I was never a Dirty dancing fan. But I've watched it of course but now it's years and years since. For me it was more about North and south (watched it growing up. Older sister was a big fan.), Youngblood, Ghost and Point break.

This is so sad, and though I knew it was comming soon its still hard to hear. He was a very talented actor, and he fought so hard with such a horrible disease. The important thing is at least he is at peace now...no one should have to loose a battle to cancer 🙁
