Penpals

I would enjoy a penpal, but I know it would not work out well. I am very bad at knowing what to say.. and most importantly, my handwriting is atrocious! 🤣 even I can't read it sometimes.

You and @LemonBanana would be perfect pen pals. You're about the same age and have similar personalities.

😲 I thought Dark lords haunt was in her 20's
But everybody along the way can read what you've written. 😋
Just like here 😀

I get a bit freaked out when i see new members online with zero posts "engaging in conversation". I image they are those internet robots plotting world domination where no one can see!

Its weird to join a community just to chat privately. And then people whinge that forum communities arnt that active. Posting in the open is much better for a sense of community, I rekon! Postcards just include the postie and anyone else who reads along the way. How lovely 😍

Yes, that's a bit weird. I never noticed it before, and now I'm thinking about it. Thanks for that. 😄

Some people do NOT like letters 🙁 there has been so much abuse and bad reviews and fb groups against the letters that we send as a congregation that we cant give out a return address anymore. Too much danger.

I think it's more about mail from people you know, compared to mail from people you don't know. You've given someone your address, so that's more expected mail, whereas someone taking your address and writing is unknown and unexpected mail. I got mail from a charity yesterday and I don't know how they got my address, so it annoyed me and I didn't pay attention to what they wrote.

Your address is on google maps
No doubt, but that isn't giving it to someone to use, it's the act of handing your address over to someone to use, whether a charity, or friend, rather than someone taking your address, from Google or elsewhere and deciding to use it.
