I have two kitties. My husband and I are those people who have pets instead of kids. lol. We dote on our pets.
Anyway, the oldest one is named Morgan. She's a black cat who's missing some fur around the eyes. We found her in the street when we were moving my husband out of his bachelor pad and into our first shared apartment. She was just a kittten... and she was skinny and screaming for food. We gave her cheese. Then, we took her home. She's really smart -- so smart that she actually plays fetch and comes when called! We talk to her as if she's a person. Morgan is especially fond of me. She gets jealous when I pay attention to the other cat -- or to my hubby. lol. She has an allergy to fish, which means we have to give her special sensitive systems cat food or else she throws up. Also, when we had her fixed, the vet said he found three extra ovaries. Morgan's a bit of a freak. My sister-in-law is convinced that she's an alien. 🙂
The younger one is named Chaps. We got her from the rescue pet center in Petsmart. She's white with black splotches. Like a Moo-Cow. When she was a kitten, she had pink cheeks. They looked like they were chapped, hence the name. She's also fluffy and a little fat. It's adorable. Her little sides jiggle when she trots away. Chaps is stupid. Really stupid. We've had her for about two years now, but she still can't understand the concept of glass. Morgan likes to sit on top of our glass tables in order to goad Chaps into trying to scratch her through the glass -- thereby bumping her nose in the process. She's also retained her high-pitched kitten meow and her rambunctiousness. Some of that rambunctiousness comes out as kind of bi-polar, though. She liked to play fight, but with claws. Ick. One minute, she wants you to pet her. The next, it is ON, man! lol. Because of the attitude, we don't talk to her as much. Mostly, we just play with her and cuddle with her. Chaps, well, she's slow, but adorable!
They both like to watch nature shows on the TV, especially Planet Earth. They hate each other and love to fight, although they'll stick together and cuddle when they're in an unfamiliar environment. They have their favorite people, their favorite toys, etc. Mostly, we treat them as if they were our kids.
