:GOOD:
🙂 Liked how true to character Will was, as well as Elizabeth's character growth from the first movie
🙂 They brought back some characters from number one, great to see (although I was hoping for the return of female pirate from POC1)
🙂 Like what they did with Norrington, think the actor did a great job
🙂 Some great humor lines!
🙂 Johnny Depp was brilliant as per usual, I love Jack Sparrow, and the tear he has just as Elizabeth ties him up, was so wow!!!
🙂 Had a few parts that definitely got to me!
🙂 LOVED the non-wedding scene and Jack's intro, both had me cheering!
🙂 The ending, although I thought was a LIL WEE bit cliche somehow, was very good (I actually expected Jack for some reason lol, was genuinley surprised when Barbossa come out... sorry for the butchered spelling there)
🙂 The paralells they made with the first movie (ie: dress floating in water reminded me of first scene in POC1, Will waking up on a ship to look up at Elizabeth, "Why is the rum ALWAYS gone??" <--HAHA loved that line!)
🙂 It was PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN DUDE!!!!!!!!!
:NOT SO GOOD:
🙁 Thought the reaction/interaction between both Bootstrap and Will, and Bootstrap and Jack was pretty blah. Could accept the reaction from Jack given his character I suppose, but Will I thought was far too underreacted to be seeing his thought-to-be-dead father.
🙁 Think Disney will have to be careful in the third movie that they don't move to something too unbelievable. There seemed to be a lot of things in this movie that the audience just kind of had to accept, and with the even more "mystical" aspects to the film, they'll have to be sure it's not overly cheesy or anything.
🙁 Was I the only one who felt like this movie was less Pirates of the Caribbean-y than the first? Like the feel of it was less upbeat, fun, that atmosphere that the first had that really set it apart from other movies; it almost seemed to be missing a little bit. Anyone else think I'm crazy?
