ok so theres a good amount of Buffy fans on this board and I just want to know how many here liked 6 & 7 season no in betweens you either liked them or not.

Personally, I don't believe that it should have ended at the end of season 5. However, I could be saying that because I've seen season 6 and 7 and loved them. I think the question here should be:

If Buffy had ended at the season 5 finale, would we be satisfied?

Well thats the thing some people would be others woulndt me personally i love s6 & s7 but I hear otherwise from alot of people.

Oh I didn't know there was a similar thread...whoops....But this is a poll anyways so hopefully it stays active and doesnt get removed...maybe merged.

There is no way Buffy should have ended after Season 5, I loved Season 6 and 7! Especially Season 7!!

I'm with the 'season 6 and 7' are great crowd.
I was so happy that we got to see these people become adults, because i was(still am) slightly convinced there will be no further TV outing for any of the Buffy group.
And, as far as i am concerned, if its not TV, its not canon....i don't like comics, we won't see a movie, and until its actually on TV, i'm doubting a Spike spin off....or indeed any spin off.....well, until Joss' hollywood career is kicked into touch.......Wonder Woman.....pah....i see it going the same way as Fantastic Four and The Hulk....lot of press, no punch....soory, it maybe the few shandies talking, but i don't see it......
So, in ten years we can look forward to a spin off, and who is betting that ratings figures are sofiercly sort out, shows will be cancelled midway through the first episode........episode....thats a funnyword...........

I love you🙂

I voted no. I am glad that we have seven seasons of the show and not five, 144 episodes and not 100.

I will say however that, looking at the two last seasons, with the brilliant individual episodes (think Buffy w/o OMWF) and memorable storylines, I still have the feeling that the series had passed its peak. But that's a monologue for another thread, I guess. 😉

i wouldnt have been happy the way it ended. for such a great programme, i dont think it should have ended on a sad note. at least the way it did end, the characters were happy. kinda. happier than the end of season 5 anyway. which is the way it should be.

I haven't voted! I loved Season 6 and 7 but at the back of my mind there has always been a little voice saying, "It should have ended at Season 5." The episodes I felt this were mainly the first one of Season 6 and a lot during Season 7.

I did like both these Seasons but I just felt that they sometimes came across a little far-fetched!

For me I would have liked Season 5 to have been the end, as then it would have no loose ends, but I also wouldn't have missed the final 2 seasons to save my life!

Well I think the ending was fine, Buffy was finally free from Sunnydale and not because she was dead. It's what she wanted in a way.

I love the final two seasons and would not wish the show to have finished at the end of S5 for any reason. In fact, although it is not my personal favourite, I think the seventh season was the best of the lot in terms of achieving what it set out to do - and it gave us a wonderful conclusion to this brilliant show.

God no, definitely not, I am a huge fan of both season 6 and 7 and I am so glad they didn't end the show until they did. I love how it ended.. Personally I think BtVS is perfect, just the way it is 😀

I had no problem with season six and seven. I thought that they had great episodes and storylines that I would've regretted not seeing if the show had ended at season five.

Plus, duh.... Spuffy!

That is one plus I suppose, I've never been the biggest Spuffy fan but I did love some of their moments together, plus I don't think I would have liked to have missed Once More With Feeling that is still one of my favourite episodes in Season 6. I do love those seasons but I wouldn't have minded if it had ended! If you understand that!

I love Season 6 from episode 3 or 4 onwards. I didn't really like the Season opener although I did love some of Buffy Bot's lines.

I am definitely glad that they kept it going for another two seasons.

Think of all the character development with Willow we would have missed....so much happened with everyone in those two seasons.

Spike got his soul, etc.

These are all great story lines that I'm glad i got a chance to see.

I voted yes.

There were a lot of loose ends that needed tieing up. But they could have done this through Angel, another character spin off (Faith?) or movies. For me the show had just past its shelf life.

I completely understand people saying they should have carried it on. But for me I'd have much preferred Buffy on the whole if it had finished with The Gift (which I feel was a much stronger finale than Chosen).

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining about 6 & 7, maybe they couldn't have been any better than they were. I just don't think they helped the series overall.

Plus, duh.... Spuffy!
LOL, that's exactly what I thought when I saw the question....what? No Spuffy? Oh....we can't have THAT!

I loved Seasons 6 and 7, so no, I don't think it should have ended at 5. I liked seeing the characters grow up, especially Dawn.

I liked seasons 6 and 7. I think they could have better and maybe they weren't up to the par that I expected going into the seasons, but I still thought they were good and each had their fair share of really good episodes. I'm glad it didnt end with season five.

Season 6 was my favourite season, so a big No from me. Also, I think it would have been remarkably silly for the show to end with Buffy's death. It goes against the "Buffy is different from other slayers" point. Had she died (the whole thing about her being different from other Slayers because her family and friends would be defunct) she would just be like all the other slayers. It was important for the show, that it ended with buffy being alive.

Forgive me if that doesn't make sense, I'm a liiiittle drunk and having focusy problems..
