Potentials - How to make them better

I had already let this go and moved on then you have the audacity to post what you did. Maybe I have been slightly sensitive this week, but it was the way that I felt. And a mod has already told us to be respectful then you post this, way to go against board rules

You feeling like people are attacking you is not the same as people attacking you. You are telling people that they are attacking you, when in actual fact, no one had those intentions, least of all me. You don't appreciate people telling you how you feel? I don't appreciate people telling me what my intentionss are like you just did.

I'm very tired with this. You cannot tell me how I feel. This is so ridiculous, all over a difference in opinion. Anyways, this has been reported and I am not engaging with this anymore.

Okay, time out. There is no reason for this argument in this thread. Please remember that disagreements are a part of discussions, and are fine as long as they remain respectful. Not everyone is going to agree on everything.

I think we needed all the potentials to be likeable and they needed to remind us of the Scoobies when they were young. Buffy would want to protect them and preserve their innocence which does nobody any favours, hence why Giles tells Buffy she needs to step up and act like a general.

The named potentials weren't likeable aka Kennedy and Rona, whilst the ones that did have some likeability such as Amanda, Vi and Chao-ahn didn't get the screen time they deserved.

I agree with what @flow and others have mentioned about getting to know some of the potentials. I think if they had spent more time focusing in on 3-4 potentials and keeping the others in as background, it would have been much better. They seemed to try to do that with Kennedy, Vi, Amanda, and Rhona, but there were so many other potentials there interacting at one time it just got too muddled. If they had focused on a few of the main ones we were introduced to and given us more plot or background on them, I think we would have been much more attached to them as people.

As it was presented, we didn't have enough time to really care for any of them individually. And while I love the finale, it would have had even more of an impact if I felt like I really knew the girls. The only one I really cared for was Amanda (a tiny bit more time was spent on her) and then, well, you know how that turned out!! 🙁
