I think there's a good shot that there's a Cuban president. If you're picking up what I'm putting down.
I'm probably not. Is Rubio Cuban? Because I'm still rooting for him.

The electoral college system is not a/the problem. If it were you would see it affecting far more elections. The Democrats lost the election, plain and simple, it had nothing at all to do with the electoral college. Our out of date, illogical electoral college system got him elected.
Spoken like a true Canadian. Live on the other side and try being that rational. As for the #notmypresident movement, he is your president. He was just #notwhoivotedfor and that is a different thing.

You make good points, I'm just saying for a lot of us it's hard to look toward our president with any kind of trust or admiration. And as a non American it's easier for you to look through the nonjudgmental lens. Does he do a lot to affect my daily life? No. But do his attitude, methods, and beliefs make me worry that he may do something to affect me or someone I care about? Absolutely. Is your day-to-day life being that affected by what el presidente is doing? Democracy is like being on the boards here - no one is forced to believe what anyone else says about a character or ship on Buffy and the fact that you may be in the minority in some opinion does not mean you are a second-class poster. BTW there was such a large spike in inquiries about how to become a Canadian after Trump got in that it crashed the government servers. Are you saying we need a wall?
Fine. You get him, we get Angel.there was such a large spike in inquiries about how to become a Canadian after Trump got in
Just want to say as a US citizen, the majority of us did NOT vote for Trump.
Our out of date, illogical electoral college system got him elected.
She's just stating a fact. He got 3 million less votes than Hillary so clearly the majority of US citizens didn't vote for him.No, no, no. You absolutely cannot speak for the majority of US citizens.

Antiquated yes, majority no. She got 42% of the vote.Well, the majority of UK people voted for the Tories but thanks to our antiquated system May barely has a government to do things with.
Every system has checks and balances or whatever.

They should abolish the winner takes all states. Let the candidate eat what they kill. It would make a difference. The electoral college is not perfect, but it's used for a reason.
The majority of the people didn't vote for Hillary either.
No, no, no. You absolutely cannot speak for the majority of US citizens.
What got Trump elected was the majority of everyday Americans who were sick and tired of how Obama screwed the country up. A change was needed, and people voted for something different.
It's that simple.
The majority of the people didn't vote for Hillary either.
They didn't vote for her but she was proven to be the more popular of the two over time. I think the FBI thing did her in at the time.
Well if you think Obama screwed up the country (don't think he did from where I'm sitting) then as the saying goes "You ain't seen nothing yet"😉
