Rachel Bilson in HIMYM?

Is it really true that Rachel (whoreface) Bilson is going to be in How I Met Your Mother? There's even a rumour that she's going to be the mother. And that the role is 'pivotal'.

I'm going to vomit on the person that made that decision.

I think I would like someone to the mother that isn't a "famous" person like Bilson. I liked the cupcake girl.
 
Not sure if the rumour is true or not but about the age Rachel is older than Cobie Smulders (Robin) born 1982 and only one year younger than Jason Segal (Marshall) born 1980. Don't see anyone thinking the age thing between Marshall and Lily (Alyson being born 1974), Robin and Barney (NPH born 1973) or Ted (Josh born 1974) and Robin is/was a big deal. And you don't have to be very young to take a college class do you? Not liking the actress herself is another thing though.
 
Okay, let's just hope it's not true! Not that the age thing would be awkward, they'd probably make her about the same age as Ted anyway, but really, Rachel Bilson? Is this supposed to be a twist to get the ratings up like back with Britney Spears? Cos if it is, that would be really lame, considering the popularity the show has gained by now anyways!

The expression vapid whore also comes to mind.
I don't see everyone's problem, I liked her in The OC (which is the only thing I've seen her in except Xander's dream). And it's not like she's super-famous so I doubt it's to gain better ratings, if it is true.
 
I'm with Mumrik, what on earth is wrong with her? I've also only seen her in The O.C, in which she was awesome, but I've never read or heard anything about her that would make me deem her a 'whoreface' or 'vapid whore'...what's the deal?

And yeah, Britney might have been used to increase the ratings, which from what I can gather, totally worked, but Rachel Bilson is not exactly on that level!

Yeah your all crazy whats Rachel Bilson ever done, she was great in the O.C. and I liked her in Jumper and Chuck, I hope this rumor is true, I'd like to see her in more stuff!
 
All I've ever seen her in is Chuck but don't see anything wrong with her.

Anyway, I don't watch this show much but it isn't the first time it's been rumored someone is going to be the mother. I remember people saying that back when Sarah Chalke was guesting on the show (and I love her, so no one better call her a vapidwhore!)

I'm born on the same say as Rachel Bilson, so that automatically means she's cool 😉
But really, I don't see what's so wrong about having her on the show, I think I read that she will be on the 100th episode which has a lot of hints for the mother. That's where the rumours originated, but I highly doubt that she'll be the mother.
 
I'm sure there is nothing wrong with her as a person. My problem is with the characters that she chooses to play. She plays home wreckers, bimbos, and losers. Yet somehow they're meant to be 'cute'? Everytime I see her face I want to vomit on it with super chunky vomit so that I don't have to look at it anymore.

Having her on How I Met Your Mother would really piss me off.
 
Just to be clear I'm kind of indifferent to Rachel. Don't hate her or love her but if you don't like her for what ever reason that's more a valid reason than the age thing which I thought was kind of silly. But just because she's played certain characters in the past it doesn't have to mean that a new role will be the same right? And if she plays any part what so ever I really don't think it'll be to boost ratings. But even if it is I don't think she'll help much.
 
Yeah, but everytime I see her face now it makes me think of gross. It doesn't matter what the character is written like, if Rachel Bilson is playing her, she's going to suck. End of story.

Sounds like typecasting. You can't really limit an actress to someone they've played in the past (although I don't think RB has played a whore, homewrecker, or bimbo before). That's like saying Buffy alums can only do genre, which isn't true.
