Rank the Star Trek TV series?

A mixed start for me. Really liked the first episode with its interesting themes such as Race and politics.
The tension between Michael and the Captain was convincing
. The design of Klingon's and their costumes I was impressed with too. The second episode felt much more generic and plodding. I'm not sold on the titles sequence personally. Overall a solid two-part pilot🙂

I'm not really a Trekkie. I liked the first two new films. I remember The Next Generation on in the Buffy time slot on another day on BBC2. Hit and miss but it's the only one I can really remember. DS9 next because of the Ferengy. Voyager I can barely recall seeing any of it but it ranks above the original series as the effects and acting are too poor to invest in the story. Never saw Enterprise.

I'm not a Trekkie even😉 My main experience of the shows growing up was through my older brother who always had them on. At the time partly to rebel against him I didn't pay much attention😛 I enjoyed some of the original films more. But reflecting back on the original TV series it was very groundbreaking for its time. Not just a fun and camp space adventure with good characters, but it broke new ground for progressive sexual and racial themes in Sci-Fantasy. Think that original series is worth checking out for those reasons.

Well fair enough if you found it boring😀 I disagree on the Klingons. I liked their look and throught the speical effects make-up was well done. As a new Star Trek show it needs to update things like that. Will you watch more?

But I don't care if you disagree. 😛

Anyway, aside from the pretty starship, it didn't feel like Star Trek. The first officer's mutiny was silly; same goes for her assaulting the captain. Stupid story. I was annoyed that I wasted an hour of my life on this drivel. I won't be watching anymore. *yawns loudly*
