Me & friend recently watched this. I've seen this many times. Was their first. Still a masterpiece! 💛

One of the few, and I think first for me, visual medium of romance that captivated me, both Li & Yu and Jen & Lo.
Paddington in Peru...not the best one in the franchise but good fun nonetheless 7/10
 
The Canterbury Tales (1972) - 6/10

High Spirits (1988) - 3/10

A crazy guilty pleasure of a movie. Thought I was tripping during the scene where Guttenberg's character went to the afterlife and the Ghost of the horse was talking to him 😀 I hope they paid him well for this film..
 
X-Files: Fight the future (1998)
3-ish out of 5

I saw this in the theatre back in -98 when going to the movies was cheap entertainment and you could go just because. Me and my friend were mostly confused, which makes sense as it is a movie the builds on five seasons of TV.

Now… well, it is ok. Kind of like an extended episode. It does however get an award from me for most awkward and drawn out ”Will they kiss?” moment. It dragged out for so long it turned from ”oh yes kiss” to ”please stop making me witness this”. I get that back then it was a big deal whether they would kiss or not, but mistakes were made.

Had no idea they appeared in another film together (after US and Expendables series..).

No where near as good as the first, but it's got even different in it that kids will love the merchandise!

The Man form Earth: Holocene - 2017 - 5/10

Students at a community college believe their professor is 14,000 years old and set out to confirm it. IMDB rated it as 5.2 and this is pretty much right on. Passable but not great.

September 5 - 7/10
Brilliantly made movie about the events at the 1972 Olympic games, and the first time a terrorist attack was broadcast. Interesting discussion on ”What can we show on TV” that carries on into contemporary society. Good actors, well ploted and the costumes were great. The whole studio felt very authentic (with only a free actions being questionable).

Note to self though, next time, don’t bring a friend who’s never heard of an historical event like this and who was expecting a happy ending 🙈

I wanted to watch it because it sounded fun, but the poor ratings as well as your review discouraged me. Then I saw that there existed a first movie with a higher rating. I will watch that one! 🙂
 
The Thaw (2009) - 6/10

It is a little better than the imdb rating of 5.2 but still not great. A professor, his daughter and three students go to a remote arctic island in the Canadian northland and find that the melting ice has uncovered a wooly mammoth that is infected with a deadly parasite. As people succumb, there is a battle between those who want to get off the island and those who know it would start a pandemic.
 
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) - 3/10
This movie is brain dead and I felt brain dead watching it!🤣 Jeffery Combs is by from the high point, plus the random Jack Black with dreadlocks is funny😁 The back half of the film at least amps up a bit. Before that it’s very dull, badly acted (even JLH is phoning it in), and once again DUMB🤣

@NotASlayer Steve Railsback, Clint Howard and the guy who looks like he's an extra from a Bon Jovi video bumps it up 😛 Plus its a loose remake of Casablanca don't you know?😉

Oh, I didn't! I can see it now, but as I have never seen Casablanca, I didn't realise. That falls into the category of remakes that should never have happened then.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but Thunderbolts was actually good.

Solid 8/10.

Also, not really a spoiler, but @Anyanka Bunny Slayer should at the very least see the second post credit scene for quite possibly the best Bucky hair we’ve ever been gifted.
