Contraband 9/10

I was skeptical at first because the overview sounded like Gone In 60 Seconds (which I do LOVE, it just didn't seem very original.) I do love mark Wahlberg. Excellent movie - it kept me on the edge of my seat and thinking, and had some good funny parts!
 
The Avengers - 15145465154654 billion. Seriously. Perfect film. Just...There are no words to describe how utterly and completely amazing it was. I need to see it again. PRONTO.

Mission:Impossible Ghost Protocol 6.5/10

Good, as are all the Mission:Impossible movie. The basic idea was awesome, but there were too much people involved, the story was getting long at times and there were some loose ends we never got to find out about.

i.e.: what happened to ethan's wife? Why and when did they decide to not see each other anymore? Because at the end of the 3rd movie, they were still deeply in love despite what happened witht he search of the rabbit foot.
 
I just finished watching the three "Transporter" movies. I had never seen them, or, for that matter, Jason Statham in anything. They were three very entertaining movies, with great action sequences and well executed, if somewhat improbable, fight scenes, which look even more impressive considering the fact that Statham apparently does most of his own stunt work.

Rat Race 1 million out of 10. 🙂 I freaking LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie!!!!! It fills me with so much happy.

My kids are seeing the avengers right now. Unfortunately I'm not there cause I have to go to stupid work. (grumbles) ;-)

Watchmen - 7/10
It was pretty good. We watched the so-called ultimate cut. It has a runtime of about 3 hours and 25 minutes.
The story is really interesting, but sometimes a bit... exotic.
I loved the comic book sequences though. That was really great.

The Hunger Games 10/10.

We saw it last Saturday, before we went wasn't sure what to expect because ofthe hype. But personally thought it was a great film. Will get it on DVD/BD when out here in the UK.
 
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - 7/10

It was a little too long for me and I kept getting confused with all the different characters. Its really an interesting storyline and you really wouldnt want to get on the wrong side of the main female character!

Was it the remake or the original Swedish version? The Swedish version is about the same length but a bit more bloody and horrific in parts.

idk, I thought Rooney Mara's acting was pretty horrific :P
Secondhand Lions 8/10 - Just watched it today for the first time. Michael Caine and Robert Duvall are absolutely great. Hilarious. Plus, it had Christian Kane in it! Haley Joel Osmett's acting, while not TOO bad, left a bit to be desired. Hence the less than perfect score.

Honestly, I love this movie, massive guilty pleasue for me. yes I know it's bad, really bad and so sleazy. Elizabeth Berkley's performance is laughable, but every scene in this movie is hysterical because it's so awful. 5/5.
 
Just watched The Day The Earth Stood Still, the 2008 remake version with Keanu Reeves and honestly was super unimpressed. I found it dull and unexciting and feel like they probably could have done more shocking imagery than they utilised. I wouldn't mind seeing the original to compare though as I thought some of the ideas were quite interesting.
