I wasn't expecting much from this but I thought it might be just a fun stupid movie.. but I did not enjoy this, it didn't work. It was weird, and I don't know if it tried to be funny or something, were there moments that were supposed to be comedic? it was just awkward. Boring soundtrack, crap acting, terrible dialogue.. I didn't think I would hate this movie as much as I did. 0/5.
 
Gia: 10/10

Everything about this movie was perfect. It told the true story of Gia Marie Carangi, the worlds first big supermodel, and how her wild and crazy lifestyle eventually led into chaos and drug addiction. Angelina Jolie gives, IMO, one of the greatest performances in film history. She is unbelievably good here. An amazing film.

Don't be Afraid of the Dark Katie Holmes, Guy Peirce... your token haunted house/creature feature. Wasn't expecting much didn't get much... and why did everyone in the movie have the same hair? If it is free and you aren't the faint of tummy it is an ok way to kill two hours. 5/10
 
Minority Report - 7.5/10

Neither a 7 nor an 8. The first half of the movie was more 7-ish or 6-ish and I was rather disappointed, but from the second half on the movie got better and better.
 
Untouchable (Intouchables) - 8/10

My friend dragged me into the movie yesterday. I thought I'd get some cheap comedy, but... wow.
It hasn't been released in the US yet and I think it's US release is only limited, but I can really recommend it.
The only weird thing is probably gonna be the sync. It's from France.
 
1/10 - "The Ex" - three words Don't Watch It. Just... ridiculous and barely worth the money spent on renting it. Normally I love Jason Bateman but this movie is not his shiniest moment. No one will suffer from having missed it.

3/10 - "The Hangover 2" - I had low expectations but it was better than I thought it'd be. I'm a bit disappointed that they more or less followed the blue print from the first movie to a T. Alan was my favorite part about the first one, too bad he was completely unlikeable in this one. :S
Mostly, honestly - seriously - no one was mad that the kid's finger got cut off? Not the kid, not his dad, not his sis... what?? Unreasonable, ridiculous and just too far. Not even funny.
 
The butterfly effect 7/10 some aspects I really hated but overall it was good and I liked Ashton in it.

The Butterfly effect 2 4/10 I only watched this one because it came in a two pack and it was not as good. I think the ending was okay but otherwise didn't really get into it.
 
Project X 2/10 I got conned into watching this and I wish I didn't. I cant remember laughing once in this whole movie. Everyone was it fits of laughter and my freinds and I were just sitting there like 'what are you laughing about, it ain't funny'. Thank Zeus I didn't have to pay with my own money.

John Carter of Mars 10/10 I went to see it last night on a last minute whim with no expectations, and it was surprisingly a pretty amazing Sci-Fi movie. The CGI was fantastic, story was good enough and most of the characters were distinguished and likable. When compared to "Avatar" (which it undeniably will be) it is much, much more entertaining and doesn't try to take itself too seriously. I saw it in 3D and in a giant IMAX-esque theater which really added to the experience, and if you have that choice I'd definitely go and see it.

"Avatar" is one of several (make that MANY) stories and characters directlt inspired by John Carter and his exploits on Barsoom.

I have had the highest hopes and the greatest dread about this movie ever since I heard that it actually was going to be made. Burroughs' John Carter books have been among my most favorite and best loved stories for over 50 years, and I was really worried that they would "Hollywood-ize" it beyond recognition the way that they have done so many other great books. I have to say that I was quite pleasantly surprised at just how much of the original character survived into the movie version. Thankfully, the director and several of the other key people involved in making the movie actually were Burroughs fans, and they worked hard to keep his vision as true as they could within the limits of the medium with which they were working.

Now, I'm both looking forward to "John Carter 2," and worried that the quality will slip below the first movie.
 
We Need To Talk About Kevin: 9/10, it would deserve a 10 but the awesomeness of the book biased me.
 
Paranormal Activity 3 - 4/10

It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I know a lot of people said that it was the best in the series but I disagree. It was interesting how you find out the origin of the whole thing, but the ending was so.... bland. I expected more.
 
Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - 7/10
I wasn't really paying much attention to it, but the only part I really really like is the action / adventure sequences towards the end. I'm a sucker for action in the wilderness/exploring dangerous caves and stuff like that xD
 
The Village - 8.5/10.
I loved it, I thought the setting and scenery were beautiful, and Bryce Dallas Howard is equally beautiful. There were parts of it that were so sad, and the twist is fantastic.

It gets less though, because I think you could only really watch it once or twice after you know what the twist is.
 
9/10 - Conan the Barbarian, (the remake) I loved it! Close to perfection, not quite there but close 😀

OK. Funny and entertaining, but not really good.

Heat - 10/10
What a masterpiece. I watched it for the third our fourth time. Awesome!
And the sounds of those guns! Amazing! Michael Mann did a really great job!
