Watched BBC documentary miniseries Archaeology: A Secret History. Was really good. 🙂

30 Rock Season 1 (2006/07) 9/10
One of the sharpest sitcoms of recent years. The perfect piss-take of shallow, white corporate America. Great characters, witty lines, fine supporting cast, smooth production, and the music is some of the most original and beautiful you will hear on television. This first season is the show at its best.

Shameless Season 1: 9/10

I've always been a "causal fan", meaning I'd watch some episodes when I lived with my aunt, I liked what I saw, but that was that. I finally decided to start proper, from the beginning, and it completely knocked it out of the park from the first episode. If season 6 of Buffy annoyed you when it came to finances, this is a series that knows what's it's really like to be dirt poor, yet still scrapping by. It's funny and insightful at the same time. This family of crazy folks will grow on you, and I can't wait to finally catch up.

first 2 seasons were awesome!
Preacher Season 2 - 9/10
I just love this show and feels like nobody is watching it. Anyone?
It sucks. Can't really be a road trip when they spend a whole season in one place. Even though S2 had 13 episodes it felt like a lot more than that. I think they could have gotten by with 8 episodes easy. I don't think I like the second season as much as the first.

Stranger Things 2 - 7.5/10
Like a difficult second album this has some bumps in the road [the Billy character for example], but as difficult second seasons go its still really well written and very exciting at times. The finale was great, and I'd say better than S1's. It impressed me how dark and gripping it was at times. One thing that stood out to me was how well they handled Steve's progression this season. Never thought I would end up liking him, but I kinda did😉 S1 was better overall, just because the pacing was better, and it was tighter, but this was very satisfying too.

Haha for me it's quite the opposite, I prefer S2 because I feel there is more to it! Agree to disagree 🙂

30 Rock Season 3 [2008/09] 8/10
Think this might be my second favourite season after the first one, has some of my favourite episodes and plots, plus the cameos are really well used. Plus I love this finale😛

The walking dead - S-I don't know anymore because they all look the same, too much machine guns fighhting, not enough walkers!

4/10

I've never understood the hype over The Walking Dead (same plot every season with no character growth)
BBC 4 Documentary on Monasteries, well I only watched the part so far about the one that's local to me. I'll watch the other 2 parts though as it was interesting. I was expecting it to be more about the monastery and talking with the monks there, but actually it was about the monks and what they do, but there was very little talking in it.

The Deuce season 1 - 7.5/10
Think at the moment I like this without loving it. The finale was fantastic and I expect even better in S2. Gyllenhaal should have awards coming out of her backside! Its a masterclass from her, and Candy is the most interesting character IMO.

2nd the liking, but not loving, pacing was S L O W
Tokyo Ghoul season 2 [2014] 8/10
More complex than the first season, with lots of new characters. But again excellent writing, and exciting direction and animation. Moving in places too.

Last nights Exorcist was one of the best TV episodes I think I recall ever seeing. Certainly for that genre. A day later and I am still thinking about it. It surprised me how taut the tension in it was. This season has been outstanding.

One day I will definitely watch it
Documentary series on the Inquisition, just to remind myself that people always sucked and that what we now call terror then was just the church being the church It was pretty good, except it clearly wasn't mean to be binge watched because they kept using the same clips over and over, casting the same guy as three different 'bad' guys but using the same clips to portray him in different parts. Although the fourth time they threw a wig on him. It was hilarious and they should probably just have re-used that first clip once more.

That gif I think is 100% historically accurate
I Know Who You Are series 2 (2017) 8/10
Complex and very intense Spanish thriller, mystery. Its one of those shows where just about every character has some link to the overall plot, and where even the smallest of details are important. It is all brilliantly crafted, and the acting is really first rate too. I'm knackered after tonight's finale😛

Good Behaviour, season 1: 9/10

I started this series on a total whim -- had no idea what it was about going into it, other than the fact that Michelle Dockery was in it -- and I thoroughly enjoyed it! A lot of great characters and relationships. Plus, the soundtrack is excellent. I can't wait to start season 2!
