I doubt these slayers found any inspiration from high school hero Buffy though considering:

Honestly though, I find it a bit sad. I can't help but feel like their devoutness here is robbing them a bit of their childhood and innocence in a way. Should 16 year old girls really be "fighting the devil" on a daily basis? I'm not sure I feel it promotes a healthy worldview either. So no, I can't say I feel supportive of it, do you guys?

There's something potentially very nasty about a preacher in Arizona claiming that speaking Spanish can be a sign of demonic possession.

But if you believe seriously in evil spirits and possession (rather than so-called possession being cases of mental illness and psychological strain which aren't properly diagnosed) then it's quite a dangerous thing for somebody that young to be involved with.

I can't take the article and the stance it has taken completely seriously because of my issues with the Daily Mail lol

I don't know if I'm that surprised or not. A part of me isn't in the sense that there are a lot of exorcists out there. A lot of people use them and think there is a need for them. But on the other hand, they're incredibly young and like someone else said, if you believe, then it's dangerous.

While I think it's great for them that they have travelled and are proud of their endeavours, I find a lot of what they believe very difficult to relate to. They seem to lack their own mind; any talk about mundane parts of life: television, books, relationships, seem like stock phases and I think that's the saddest thing about it.

How other people live though, eh?

Dailymail isn't a reliable source, or at least that's all I have heard since the first day I clicked on the world wide web. I don't doubt this exists but I don't think it's all that it's posed to be. Seriously, I wonder how long it'll be before they are singing the rights away to someone to base/inspire a movie or something off their "lives," then they'll be rich!

I have no respect for people who find themselves holier than anyone else. Religion, when taken to that extreme, is the same as any other vice. Drugs, Alcohol, Religion. Some people just can't stop themselves when they should. It's sad thar those lids are so serious and can't enjoy being young. I can't imagine that kind of life. I imagine it rather joyless.

I have been to a couple of churches and seen some people who were so fanatical about worshipping God in what they thought was the right way that they took it to extreme levels and only came across as lunatic David Karesh wannabes. These girls kinda remind me of teenage versions of them.

I'm about to have an Anya moment here, but can someone explain this to me? Because I just don't understand how these girls can be so sure that they and their beliefs are right. That they can claim HARRY POTTER, of all things, is evil and the Devil's work. They are educated and have access to the whole world of knowledge. I don't understand how someone can believe in any of this. how they can claim to be doing good, Christian work that ultimately hurts others. How they can just take it is FACT. I don't understand how they are not questioning it and thus seeing the gaping flaws in it.

Because the facts or the world are filled with lies (to someone) or based on beliefs. This to me is no stranger than people judging people based of colour, gender or sexual preferences. Doesn't make sense to me but happens everyday. Not everyone is brought up to question things. It's true because my parents/teacher/friends said so. Or the horrible It says so on the net. = 100% true.

My wish sure is that they'll look back at it and wonder what they were doing. As many do when they get older looking back at their youth. This is just more extreme than most things people do.
