I love that film. It's easily one of my favourite "horror" films. I love that they filmed in the South Bronx inside the abandoned churches and ruined buildings, all ready for being demolished. I guess a lot of people expected werewolves and big horror scenes that didn't happen. The angry running theme of gentrification and the human ignorance of ecology, those cinematic shots up on the Brooklyn Bridge, with Albert Finney looking genuinely terrified, all while having a pretty intense conversation on top of the bridge with the Native American construction worker. Oh my gawd, I love it.
