Reconciling IDW's "Angel" with Dark Horse's "Buffy"

A work doesn't qualify as canon simply because Joss doesn't say it's not. He's *never* specifically said anything was *not* canon. By that reasoning, once again, everything legally published with the Buffy brand would automatically be canon.

Mumrik agrees: Actually, fans dropped the book because it was just plain bad not because it's not canon 😉 I would have read further if it hadn't felt so completely out of character.

You won't hear any disagreements about that from me. The second Armstrong said Angel was redeemed I checked out. It was the most blatant display of ignornace to this verse and these characters that I had ever seen.

So you're saying what has happened post ATF is canon?

Scratch that question, I've reread what you said and I get it now. My bad 😉

Re: Armstrong redeemed Angel, I totally agree. It's really the first time I've ever been frustrated by this franchise.
