Religion What are you, there are so many different ones, there is Christianity, Judasim, Islam etc. So what is yours.

I am going to become at new year a wiccan. I hve research this religion now for about 4 months and i jave chsoen it because it will help bring clarity to my hectic life.

Tell us what religion you are and whether o not you are a full practiciner or not. Tell us yor beliefs about after life or anything. Tell us what you feel fit.



NOTE; There will be no bashing of other peoples religions in here!

half practiciner but do believe in the after life

dont become a wicca it is a evil religion if you want to call it that

there is only one god who always wins
 
I am a Christian, A catholic to be exact, I am half practitioner of it..nut I am interested in other religion called Born Again Christian,.and I do believe in everlasting life, what about Wicca?..what religion is that? I'm just curious....
 
Wicca is a mystery based religion, there are many types of it. I will become one who worships nature. In Wicca you dont have to believe in a god but you can if you wish. As there are many types i cant really tell you specifics.

But i will do some more research and let you know in more detail if you would like?
 
oh, i see, then why did Logan said it was evil?.. I see no evil in that.. You have said that you have a hectic life, Let me share an insight to you, Our prof in Philosophy told us that the purpose of man is to attain perfect happiness, so that means never hesitate to do what will make you happy, as long as you never hurt anybody, besides you can't be really happy if you hurt somebody right?....so if being Wiccan will make you happy, go for it...😀

So tell me more about your religion,, does it have rituals and such?....
 
Well i have to say that Wicca has a rule which says, If it harms none then so moted be, meaning that you can do what you want as long as you dont hurt anyone.
 
I'm a Roman Catholic. I'm not as active as I should be. I used to go to church every Saturday when I was young, but ever since I was confirmed I don't go as much. Which I know is really hiporcritical, but : shrugs :
 
i was baptized a roman catholic and intend to go to a catholic college next year.

I know it seems like i am going against my catholic religion by becoming a wiccan but i have never practised being a catholic.
 
In wicca there are some fixed rituals (i cant remember right now) but you can star your own rituals also.

Also one of the many cool things is that i start my own Book of Shadows. with things in it such as spells, rituals and sabbots (holidays)
 
i'm a christian, but i don't really believe in god anymore. and i've been reading up on wicca for like the past year or so... and i'm thinkin' about converting. i would do it now, but i don't know how my parents would react. so i'm just going to wait until i'm on my own.
 
I'm 100% Atheist!
It's the best way for me, because I don't like the impression of being ruled by someone or something that I have never seen or even have a circumstantial evidence that it even exists.
I can't and won't believe something like that without anyone giving me a REALLY good proof.
It's completely devious that such a creature like a god (no matter which religion) could exist.

Cole, does spells really work?...

well, we can't really do nothing if some of you don't believe in God anymore, specially you Spike that only belives the things he see, but please, don't say that the existence of a god is Devious, its your own opinion, I know that but you still have to consider our feelings.I was a little offended ny that but its ok, I understand you anyway..
 
Well i have heard of spells working, and my friend told me (she is a wiccan as well) she told me that she got the power to see dead people. I beleive her because it frightend her so much she stoped practising.
 
People if you want to discuss this matter more deeply concerning spells and other iseus like that please pm one another 😉

Btw,

I do believe there is a God or whatever you would like to call him/her, a greater power then us but I don't go to church or read the bible.. I wasn't raised with it but I did go to a christian school so I know about it and have read many things about relegion.. I believe there is much much more out there then us human beings know.. what that is exactly I think is very personal very each person out there 🙂
 
I'm supposed to be Christian, but i'm a little back slided.

Jinx, i think Logan said wicca is evil mainly because many believe wicca to be assiociated to witchcraft and black magic and voodoo and stuff. To outsiders, it doesn't seem good. But of course, to each its own.
 
I do supose there will be lots of different oppions on the matter, i know i have opinions on other religions and such , so i think its in the eye of the beholder
 
i was raised in a pentacostal church atmosphere........very ritualistic and rigid in their beliefs and low tolerance for any thing considered to be secular. but thankfully my mother and i evolved.


i believe a person can have a relationship with God WITHOUT the binds of a "religion". I have studied some of the prinicipals of wicca and i must say they are very interesting.

So your friend stopped practising Wicca because of that, Cole?.. how frightening. Are you not afraid of converting your religion to Wicca, considering what had happened to your friend?..
