Care to elaborate why?

I find this episode kind of boring, Dana doesn't interest me as a crazy slayer girl who have hallucinations of other slayers, also don't like Spike's arms being cut off, it seems cheap. As an episode centered on an abused girl I prefered Untouched with a female character like Bethany.

Would have liked another character from BTVS than Andrew too.

Numero Cinco sucked, but Damage was far worse. God, what a stupid episode. And chopping Spike's hands off was just for shock value, added nothing to this amazingly dull story.
See, I liked this episode because it does show some of the unintended consequences of the empowerment spell in Buffy Season 7. Not every girl that became a slayer is going to be a warrior on the side of good. Some will hide it. Some will misuse it. And some who already have significant problems will become even more messed up because of the visions.

I'd get rid of The Girl in Question. Didn't add anything and you could have firmed up the ending some more.

See, a lot of the weaker episodes play into the themes of the season; 'The Tale Of Numero Cinco' and 'Why We Fight' for example, so for that reason I'd probably hang on to them. Even if the execution is bad the themes make it worth something.
Same with 'Destiny' (another problematic one), 'Conviction' (weak) and 'Soul Purpose' (a tepid episode that came about through nessesity because of DB's knee injury).

I would either go with 'Harm's Way' or 'The Life Of The Party'; two kinda irritating and utterly superfluous additions to the season we did not need; and since LotP is just a rehash of 'Something Blue' anyway I'll go with that; its not like Lorne added much to the season.

But in all honesty its tough to cull just one from the first half of S5; I'd happily prune it with a machete and start from scratch.

I wouldn’t have had Angel Investigations take over W&H, personally, so I’d have to retcon the entire season. Just erase everything. The arc definitely should have been Angel finally facing the Senior Partners or something, but not from within W&H

"The girl in the question" is worst episode of the entire show.
It ruined Angel(and Spike's)likability. They acted like pathetic childern.I don't even find this crap funny.Any time Buffy mentions I just be like "GET OVER HER.BOTH OF YOU".I cannot explain how much I hate this episode.

Numero Cinco for me, too! I remember even live, with the excitement of new weekly episode, I found NOTHING redeemable to keep me interested!

The Girl in Question was far from perfect, but I did enjoy Angel x Spike acting like a couple of fools together for an episode.

And I'm shocked to hear Damage coming up so much! I really liked the pacing of the episode, Dana's character (and her scenes with Spike, minus the hand thing)... it's not my very fave or anything, but certainly not on the bottom of my list either. I'm going to have to rewatch it now....

That's not the problem with Season 5. The problem is, after the show wasn't renewed, they decided to cram the Blackthorn storyline into the season. For all we know, the Seasonal endgame had all the all the episodes it needed. No amount of planning could have made up for that.

The Girl in Question is gross. The whole episode is about Spike and Angel not respecting Buffy's agency, and then deciding at the end not that she deserves the agency, but that she's simply better than them and would kick their asses and/or outsmart them if they tried to intervene.
SPIKE

What's Buffy thinking? H-honestly?

ANGEL

She doesn't exactly have the best taste in men. Case in point.

(looks at Spike)

SPIKE

H-hey! I think I turned out all right.

ANGEL

Yeah. Once she got through with you.

SPIKE

I wasn't the one livin' in alleys, rubbin' rat filth all over my face. If we're talkin' projects, you're the Sistine Chapel.

ANGEL

I wasn't a project.

SPIKE

Well, neither was I.

(Angel sighs, sits on the edge of his desk)

Can't we just... lock her away in a box where no one can ever touch her? You know? Like we did with Pavayne?

ANGEL

(crosses his arms, thinks a moment)

I don't think she'd let us. Uh, she's pretty strong.

SPIKE

We could do a spell. Some sort of mind control.

ANGEL

Oh, she'd figure it out. You know, she's pretty smart.

SPIKE

Yeah.

(sighs, sits on the edge of the desk by Angel)

So, what? We just have to live with it? Get on with our lives?

ANGEL

'Fraid so.

SPIKE

(sighs)

Fine.

"Unleashed" because it introduces Nina, a totally unneeded character that was just brought in to give a romantic interest to the male lead. Awful!

I also dislike "Why We Fight" because it came after "You're Welcome" and it pissed me off how there was not a full episode for the cast to grieve after Cordelia's death like there was later for Fred. Also, the episode itself is quite boring.

I can deal with "The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco" because the episode didn't take itself seriously, just like "The Girl in Question".

As for the "Life of the Party" haters... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That episode was hilarious. It has some of my favorite scenes from the season, and it was nice to get a look at what Lorne is going through. I enjoyed how the ending shows that even when he's sleeping Lorne is thinking of music.

Why, the season finale was rushed simply because Whedon was told shortterm that the show would be terminated.

So changing anything about the season wont change that the ending was rushed.

I didn't mind Nina as a character, or 'Unleashed' as an episode - but I did feel that Angel initiating a relationship with her (not to mention his 'schoolboy-with-a-crush' style pursuit of Cordy in earlier seasons) contradicts the reason he broke up with Buffy.

But, yeah, 'The Girl In Question' was embarrassing for both Angel and Spike. The episode with that parasite that was making Angel have those silly dreams is a close second.
