Xander was making the reference to the line in Magnolia, and was making the joke, as a cruller, because of it's shape, can look phallic, and the donut was the other half of that reference (to the female)
 
Oh.. Oh. I always figured that it was just a quote from some movie, but I never really bothered to try and figure out what it meant. (sw) And wow, that is actually pretty offensive. Hm.

I have never seen Magnolia & I had never heard that quote before, but the first time I heard the Xander version in OWMF, I knew exactly what he meant (metaphorically, I never found it that funny, I thought it was just Xander being a numpty). On a (sort of) interesting side note, Crullers are called Yum-Yums here in Scotland, I had one this morning 🙂
