I liked it but there is still work to be done. I say if you didn't like the pilot, then give it a couple more episodes because pilots have to set up a lot, so I typically suggest watchinng a pilot and at least one more episode before you decide to drop the show. I loved the ending because even if you didn't really like the show, it ends in a way that you have to watch next week. If you want, you can read more of my thoughts here.

I'm watching Prophecy Girl now and 'I Fall to Pieces' is playing on Xander's radio after being rejected by Buffy. The same song was on the radio when Bridget was evading her attacker.

Awesome Buffy reference I wouldn't have caught!

YES YES, I noticed this when I watched Ringer - I thought thats the same song in Buffy haaaa
I'm happy that so many seem to like it sadly I'm not one of them. Decent but not more. I'll give it more time, at least 2-3 more episodes. Honestly though if it hadn't had an actress I was interested in I don't see me watching this at all, even if I watched the pilot. The only character I might feel for so far is Bridget but to be honest it's not much yet.

The ending annoyed me a lot.
After the boat trip I just went "They seriously want us to think that she's dead?" over and over again. Clearly they didn't since they proved that she was alive before the episode was over. They better make the twist a good one revealing it so early because as it is now I'd been more than happy to have a "She was having a secret life and even if Bridget can fool people she'll still have people after her" plot. Oh well. We should be glad I'm not deciding the fate of this show. 😉

Take away Sarah and her influence what was so amazing about the pilot? The characters, the plot (that mostly reminded me of a soap to be honest), the chemistry between the characters or something else? Taste is personal so I'm not saying people are wrong for liking or loving it. I just want to see things their/your way. Help changing my perspective.

With that out of the way, I'm not dooming the show already even if it sounds like it. It can turn out to be great but for me to think so it definitely need to improve.

I also read it was the most watched hour of TV for the CW for a Tuesday in 3 years, I'd credit that to SMG.
I agree. I wonder how long that'll last, even to the next episode? For the show and Sarah's sake I hope she continues to make people watch.

Oh. What made me smile the most was in the credits. Seeing the name Tara Summers did bring a smile to my face. Oh the silly things that amuse me. Tara is the one playing Gemma.

The show needs some more focus on Andrew and his daughter Juliet. There is some real potential there.

I find myself more interested in their family life than in Bridget's "problems."

I think the show has real potential, I'm not sold on the story but I think SMG is brilliant in both parts, she plays it beautifully. Given time I think the story could develop and become interesting but right now it was mostly all right, not really all that amazing.

I'm really hoping will be given time and chance to grow though, 🙂

(+ another yay for SMG back on TV.)

I thought it was okay, nothing mindblowing, but just okay. Still, most pilots do tend to be underwhelming. I'll be sticking with the show for a while.

It's funny...at one point I misunderstood a piece of dialogue where Brigette asks "Where's Andrew?" and I thought she had said "Where's Xander?" My ears had pricked up on that one. 😛

my bad it was nightshade that wanted to know about UK airings, sorry VisionGirl

I was expecting it to be amazing, but I wasn't blown away by it - it was okay. I think the beginning bit was too rushed, though I suppose it leaves holes in the plot to be filled in over the next few episodes and keep you guessing. It did pick up in the middle. I love SMG anyway, and I think she did a great job with what she had. The ending was good and has really made me want to tune in again to see what happens - hopefully it will pick up. I dont get though why
at the end, the guy on the phone says "Siobhan, we have a problem" and then she just puts the phone down on him and rubs the mirror!!! Wouldn't she say - "what's wrong??" haaaa
.

Will be sticking with this as I have a feeling it will get better and better.

🙂

I agree that part was kind of lame. At this point I don't find Shiboan likeable at all, but I'm sure we'll find out more as time goes on.

I really liked it. They sure opened up for a lot of different problems to be handled lol

As always I will watch a couple of 'none pilot episodes' before I'll decide to keep watching or not. It do look promising though.

/SK

Funny coincidence: The show airs on the CW ... on Tuesday night...😎

I think it's got potential (heh!!! "potential"!!!) but it definitely needs a good 3 or 4 more eppys at least for me to get really into it. I thought SMG did a fabulous job, but am I the ONLY ONE that just can't stop seeing "Buffy"??? 😀

I'm sure the background of each character will unfold slowly - we just need to give it time. I'll watch for the next few eppys, and if I'm not hooked by T'giving, I'll give it up. (I like to give a show a chance, yo!)

There was a lot of non-deep, cliched dialogue in the pilot which took me out of the story, especially in the first half. I hope the writers can pull it together a bit more. A slow start and I wasn't blown away at all but I'll keep watching like the proud Gellerite I am! Stacked cast.
