God Bless Paul Newman who died today aged 83 after a long battle with cancer.
You'll be missed Paul.
RIP.

I tend to think topics like this are mostly pointless, and often border on my definition of what gay is. I do, however, think Mr Newman was a great actor, and if posting in this topic I am, in some way, acknowledging this, then I will do so, regardless of me thinking it is 'a bit gay'.
I think it is kind of the point. Are we gonna start a thread for everyone who dies or just the famous ones? Everyone deserves respect. Don´t get me wrong. I don´t see anything wrong with threads like this. Pointless to mr. Newman or his close ones it may be, but not to you obviously. And therefore not pointless as a whole.every person who dies, is someones child, sibling , spouse, parent etc etc etc and it is therefore a sad time and the dead, no matter who they are, deserve some respect!
While I do appreciate that folks have a strong opinion on certain matters, this thread is hardly the venue to air them out.
This is to honor an acting legend and humanitarian. Please respect this. All of you.
You are of course free to take your discussions to Profile conversation or to PMs if you so wish.
As for the great Mr. Newman, RIP sir.
He could have made $200 million plus from his sauces but he gave it all to charity.

How is acknowledging someone who's passed away gay? You're a fool Schillaci, either that or you're still a child who hasn't developed a sense of loss at the thought of someone dying - same goes for anyone else who thinks this thread is gay - you people annoy me so much.
Until Friday Paul Newman was greatest living actor. Pacino and Di Niro are probably next in line but neither come close to Newman. I've always thought that the single greatest cinematic performance was Walken in The Deer Hunter; Newman in The Hustler is a close second. He deserved his oscar for The Colour of Money but he should have had at least two Oscars by then anyway.

If you have nothing good to say or aren't going to say something regarding the man then don't post - every person who dies, is someone's child, sibling, spouse, parent etc etc etc and it is therefore a sad time and the dead, no matter who they are, deserve some respect!
And as for the gay comment, blondie is right. He just wants reactions. Better to ignore it even if it´s hard to do.
