I thought about this; Doyle was a better fighter for the most part but Xander was pretty tough (from all the beatings) and much braver.

So like, S7 Xander or maybe comics Xander.

I don't really remember seeing Doyle fight much. I just remember him getting beat up alot.

Xander can throw a decent punch and he jumps into a fight even if he's scared.

Xander. Doyle may be part demon, but I don't remember him fighting much and we don't know a lot about his demon abilities. Other than he's stronger in demon form. He did make the sacrifice when it counted but before that he seemed a little coward.

Xander is brave and loyal. He fought even though he had no special abilities. He is there until the end.

This is actually a close one. The reason I pick Xander is because we know more about him and have seen his qualities in battle (and there are some good ones, to go along with the flaws😀). With Doyle's arc on Angel being so brief we didn't see enough of him to really judge him in a battle. It would be too much of a gamble.

I put my money on the one who is more likely to be sober and stupid (or brave, depending on how you view human/demon fights), rather than drunk or hung over and stupid. Sorry Doyle, I love you, but in a battle, I'd have to say Xander is the wiser choice.

But drunk makes you brave!! Doyle could have thought he was at one of those little kickball games they play over there in the England and been oblivious to the true nature of the skirmish.

Your right. Doyle would be a lot braver since he have a lot of liquor courage inside him .

Or it makes your aim terrible and causes you to fall over a lot, which is bad if you already have terrible aim and tend to fall over a lot

The more a drunkard falls over whilst fighting the quicker and more outraged they become. Falling over would be a benefit and not a drawback.
