Continuing....
Faith grinned sheepishly," I'm game."
Dawn took a step forward, as she and Connor exchanged glances. "Sorry guys, Connor and I have had our drinks for the evening. Now we plan on finishing our date. But if ya need a lift on our way to the house, hop in."
"The House, huh? Well lookey here...Dawnie's all grown up. Better play it safe Connor-my-boy, or Buffy will cut ya off and hand it to ya... But I will take you up on that ride... Wolf?" She looked each one in the eye as she addressed them, causing them all to blush momentarily.
"I've got a ride, further down the alley. How about you ride with me? Let the kids get on with their evening?" Wolf stepped closer to her as he spoke, until he was no more than a few inches away. He could sense her body warm, as well as his own. Faith nodded.
"Alrighty then." Dawn chimed as she opened her car door and got inside. Feeling a little paranoid from the nights events, she stole a glance into the back seat before she started it. Completely empty.
Connor had already started to make his way to retrieve his vehicle, and the other two waited patiently there in the alley until the young couple were mobile. As soon as they drove off, Wolf turned to Faith and smiled slightly..."Ready, then?"
Taking a step back, extending her hand, she grinned. "Demons first, please."
Chuckling softly, he leaned in again. This time he brought his face to hers, almost kissing her. "Cute. But I'll have you know that I am only half demon. The other half is very much human."
Faith was hypnotized by his shimmering eyes, and motionless. She couldn't bring herself to speak or move. Wolf hesitated for a brief moment, and harbored thoughts of pulling her in and kissing her passionately. But after a few deep breaths, he turned and began walking down the alleyway. Quickly awakening from her trance, she followed, eying his finely sculpted rear the entire way.
**********
Buffy sat in Urban's Dining Room table, waiting for him to return with the coffee, and fidgeting. She removed her jacket and took a look at her left arm. It was cut and bleeding. She stood, panicking. "Dammit!" She held her arm, perusing the carpet and chair to make sure she had not left any stains. There were none that she could see. Just then, he arrived carrying two steaming porcelain cups. He frowned at the sight of her, and set down the cups. "Are you hurt?" He rushed to her and removed her hand from her arm. He then noticed the cut across her cheekbone and traced it with his finger. "Oh damn. Wait here."
He was gone no more than a few seconds before he entered again with a first aid kit. Buffy smiled, and shook her head. "There's really no need for all that, it..." Urban grabbed a handful of cotton balls, moistening them with peroxide, "Shut up Buffy, and sit down. I've seen your tough girl act, now it's time for you to be a little vulnerable." Stunned, she sat.
"Well, I must say...It's at least a little bit of a relief to see that my son is not crazy. But more than a little terrifying at that." He spoke as he dressed her wounds.
He had a soft touch, and warm hands. He covered each wound after cleaning them, and sat atop the dining room table, facing Buffy. So far, they had completely ignored their coffee. "So, you really are this vampire slayer in Gabriel's dreams, aren't you? Tough gig for such a beautiful young woman."
Buffy turned a shade of crimson and looked down at her hands momentarily, "You're taking this very well, Mr. Vance. Surprisingly well, in fact. I expected this to go a little differently."
Picking up one of the cups, Urban sipped the steaming beverage. It fogged his glasses, therefore causing him to remove them and set them on the table next to him. His eyes were large, and vibrant. "It takes alot to shock me these days, Miss Summers. I've been through alot. And I must insist that you call me Urban. I think we're past the formal greetings, Don't you?" He reached out and tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, letting his hand linger to trace her jawline.
Breathing heavily, Buffy stood. She could still smell his intoxicating cologne every time she inhaled. His eyes bore into hers and her entire body flushed. "I best be going now,Urban. I will see you and Gabriel tomorrow morning."
She turned to snatch her jacket off the back of the chair. Urban then slid off the table and grabbed her wrist softly.
"Stay." He pleaded softly.
Refusing to look him in the eye, she paused. This is wrong, she told herself. He was the father of a client for gods sake! Walk away Buffy! But she remained motionless. "I- I suppose I could keep watch tonight. Make sure nothing happens." She continued to back away from him as she spoke until her back was against the Dining room wall.
"I think you know that's not what I mean. Stay...with me. Not because you have to, because you want to." As he spoke, he moved in on her, placing a gentle arm around her waist. Their eyes connected, and her knees became weak. After a momentary silence, he leaned in. Kissing her softly, he pulled her body into his. She could feel the hardness of his body, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. The kiss lingered, becoming harder and more passionate with each second. As they kissed, he began to unbutton her shirt with one hand. Her heart beat with the strength of a thousand horses as his kiss moved from her lips to her neck. "Oh...my.." She whispered softly.
Just then the room illuminated with light, and the maid entered. "Senior Vance, I...Oh!" She covered her eyes and turned quickly as she realized what she had walked in on. "I'm so sorry Senior. Gabriel's asleep now. May I go to bed?"
Urban stood in front of Buffy as she buttoned her blouse, and tried to recover from their encounter. "Yes...please. I was just about to do the same. Goodnight."
His servant left hastily and he turned to face Buffy once again. He took her hand and shut off the light, "Come with me."
