Good question, I think it's Topher for me. Though Paul and Mellie are very heart-wrenching too, especially Paul because it's so abrupt.

I was really moved by Claire saying that she didn't want to learn who she was before she became an active, because she didn't want to die. They kill her off screen, so you don't get the full impact, but when I rewatch the scene between Claire and Topher, it always hits me in the feels.
Definitely gonna have to go with Topher, too. It's rare for me to get emotional over a death in a series finale, but the writing and acting and highlighting the relationship between Topher and Adelle just heightens everything and makes it get to me more.

Topher. By far! I cried harder than I want to admit. I love his character so much, and his entire character arc and development hooked me so hard. Although it was the saddest death for me, It was also a really beautiful, and satisfying send off for his character.

I’m gonna go for the odd choice. Whiskey.
I liked all those other characters, and was legitimately sad when they died, but for some strange reason, I loved Whiskey best. I almost thought I would have liked to see the series from her perspective rather than Echo’s.
There was just something about her character that was never explored, and yet deeper than most everyone else. I mean, she has one of the biggest parts to play out of all the dolls (save Echo, of course) and yet we know the least about her. Her story is never told. Some girl traded her life long ago to become Whiskey. Then Alpha mutilated her, and her life is basically forfeited. She never reunites with her consciousness, and in fact (it is assumed) sacrifices herself, and dies, all alone. Never truly part of the group.

I just rewatched the episode where Bennett dies. Thats pretty heartrenching mostly just because she and Topher were so happy and clearly excited about eachother, and then the moment when he walks in and Claire shoots her, just the look on his face....It stung a little when I watched it.
