The characters have so much chemistry on screen, the way I few it is Angel is a mature Faith. He did the evil and being badass thing and he sees his past in Faith. The little glimpses we have of them understanding each other completely are amazing. I believe Faith knows Angel on many more levels than Buffy even does.

Well - Surprise I voted for Buffy. She's his soulmate. They are both champions & kindred spirits. If he ever finds redemption - it will likely be with Buffy.

Both Darla & Cordy are history - as in dead. And it would never work out with Nina- in the long run.

Seriously, I wouldn't know what to vote. Definitely not Buffy. Haven't seen much of Cangel yet, but I think I am going to have to agree with the people who think it's more friendship than love-love. Darla is definitely more for Angelus than Angel, and Nina just sucks. Faith is interesting, but I can''t see them as a lasting relationship, more like a stormy fling-thing. So that leaves me with that one person with whom he has such a chemistry that it just hurts your eyes. Whether they laugh or fight (possibly with oil involved) together, they understand each other better than anyone else, and they will always have this connection that is so much stronger than friendship.

I don't think Angel treats any of his lovers that well but I have to vote Buffy just because I think he treated her better than any of his other interests. That Jane Espenson interview is interesting and I love Cordelia, but
Angel never treated her well enough as a love interest for me to really root for them as a couple. I'm still a Cordelia/Doyle shipper.

Now that is just begging for negative karma. But still I got a hard time giving it. If we ignore the fact that you love to say things to get reactions it's all fair to not like Cangel. But to compare her with Kennedy? Now that is harsh. Even for you. :fuming:

Went with Cordy. I always thought that the Buffy/Spike and Angel/Cordy relationships were a hell of a lot more interesting than the Buffy/Angel thing.

Although Spike/Cordy might have been kinda interesting too... 😉

Though I think Cordy would be a great match, I chose Buffy. I always liked BTVS more than Angel (I actually only watched Season 1 and caught up years later). Buffy and Angel just seem so right, like....peanut butter and jelly.

I would say Buffy, even though i am a complete and total Spuffy fan. Like someone said, no one has ever made the other happier. In one episode in season three (i forget which one) Angel says: "You'll always be my girl."
Buffy replies: "Always."
It just made me think, because they really said it like they meant forever.
