Yes, that's right- one of the most hated characters on the show even though she's only in a dozen or so episodes.
The annoying potential, Willow's third significant other (who technically was with her longer than Tara or Oz...) and self-confessed spoilt brat.
Say something nice/admirable about her.
I'll start:

1) When she arrives Kennedy mentions that she saw her Watcher get torn apart right in from of her by Bringgers. Now we don't know how close they were or if they had any sort of bond, but this almost certainly must've been horrible to witness. And yet from the start Kennedy shows the ability to control her fear and, initially, put her trust in Buffy.

2) She isn't afraid to ask questions but doesn't tend to constantly whine about her situation.

3) She likes Willow's freckles. We have this in common. 🙂

4) She likes to be proactive, shows bravery when it comes to fighting and seems to have a natural affinity for kicking ass.
As I remember she actually charges Caleb after seeing him knock out Buffy,. Spike and Faith. That's...suicidally brave.

5) She makes Faith look really good by comparison, when Faith tells her to 'shut up and let me do my job', man, I love that.

6) In the comics, putting morality aside, she sets up a successful slayer-bodyguarding firm, so she must have some good business sense even though she started out as rich/spoilt.

That's all I got, what about anybody else?

She's ready for action and is pretty capable even pre-activation. If I had to have a potential by my side in a fight, it'd definitely be her.

Kennedy cares about Willow, like really, and she seems to be a pretty decent girlfriend too, at least in my opinion. So there's that. Yeah, what else do you need? She's Willow's girlfriend, she's nice to Willow - that's what's important, right?

Anyway, about the whole bodyguard firm thing. I think that people underestimate just how important and positive that is. Slayers that joined Buffy's army received no money and no education so basically, you have a bunch of pissed off veteran chicks with superpowers without money or a chance to get a nice job. History teaches us that this is potentially a very dangerous situation. Kennedy diffuses it by gathering them together, giving them well-paid jobs and generally pulling into the system, legitimizing the idea of a slayer in the public eye as well. Go Kennedy!

I think Joss is the reason she gets alot of grief. As he has stated before he needed someone to have a girlfriend at the end of the show, so he created one for Willow when Amber did not want to come back.

She is outspoken and confident in herself.
She is not afraid to challenge anyone whose beliefs differ from her own.
She is assertive and will stand up for Willow where Willow would remain silent. No one ever stood up for Willow like that before.
She is what Faith would be if she was born on the right side of the tracks, and vice versa.
She dresses more 'butch' and presents another representation of lesbianism not yet seen on the show.
She is always eager for a fight.

I like her aserteveness.

Well, I'm a self-proclaimed Kennedy lover, so this shouldn't be too hard.

1) She's good for Willow. They balance out almost perfectly. By s7, Willow needs an outspoken girlfriend. Both Oz and Tara were the quiet type, and that was good for Willow in the early seasons, but Willow in s7 is a different beast. She needs someone to ground her, and Kennedy does. The kite speech might have been cheesy as hell, but it's true. Kennedy might have been a brat, but she treated Willow really well. She gave Willow what she needed, when she needed.

2) She's outspoken, unlike all the other potentials. Gotta admire how she doesn't take shit. It might be war, but she's putting her life on the line here, and she's the only one that asks the tough questions. Makes her seem bratty, but at least she doesn't let people walk all over her.

3) She's brave, as already mentioned.

4) We can assume she was raised as a rich kid that got whatever they desired, and yet she seems to live a pretty normal life, she doesn't really seem to value possessions, instead she dedicated herself to being a slayer.

5) She's one of the only person that seem to embrace being a slayer. She doesn't care about that whole one in the whole wild world shit, she owns it. I believe that even if she would have been the only slayer, she wouldn't have pitied herself.

6) We can assumed that being trained from a young age and having a watcher, that she didn't have the best childhood, or the most normal childhood. She was probably just forced into training, as though they were building a soldier out of her. But she never complains about it.

7) She's confident, and super gay. And she's confident in her gayness. That's pretty awesome.

"super gay" that reminds me of the Kids in the Hall Brain Candy bit. Made me laugh. So kudos.

Don't forget the tongue ring ;) lol

This.
I liked that she never complained about having to fight. While many of the other potentials would whine ad nauseum at the prospect of fighting, Kennedy was basically like "Cool, weapon please" at a moment's notice.
I mean, I can understand why a potential would complain and worry, but it was nice that at least one of them just got the hell on with it.

I like that she wants to be useful and proactive. I think if you could mute her she'd come across a lot better at times. She takes charge of the potentials in training, will step into a fight and relishes living as a slayer rather than dying as a potential. Also although I thought her aggressive perusal of Willow was a bit awkward she did seem to be a decent girlfriend by all accounts.

I like that she was strong enough to walk away from Willow. She was so adamant when she was chasing Willow, it wouldn't have been hard for her to feel compelled to stay with Willow, despite everything. But he knew when she was in a losing battle and she chose to leave. That takes guts.

I like Kennedy, sometimes I think she gets a bad rap. I don't think she was nearly as bad as some people say she is.

Just...what? Kennedy did not walk away from Willow - Willow straight up dumped her:

Buffy: ...but Willow needs you now. More than ever. She's lost her power. How can you just leave?
Kennedy: Missed it again, genius. Willow dumped me.

Kennedy is pretty salty about it by the way:

Willow: Did you talk to any of the other slayers? Maybe they had the same dream.
Buffy: I'm afraid to ask. It's not like they're lining up to talk to me. The closest slayer I have to a friend is Kennedy...and well, she still blames me for you dumping her.

I like her scene with Faith in the kitchen in 'Empty Places'. Oh and when she says to Buffy about Caleb knocking her out, she immediately apologizes. That was nice of her.

LOL. Thats funny, I might try that and see if it helps.

I must have something in me that makes me love the characters hated by others (Connor docet), but the fact is that I like Kennedy 🙂. She is strong, she is sweet, and she totally embraced the mission. It's not her fault if she isn't Tara, and I also believe that Kennedy deserves better than to stay with Willow.

Ok, I said it. Now don't kill me.

I don't read the comics anymore... is Satsu still single? Because I liked Kennedy and Satsu working together. Plus they'd be a slayer-slayer couple; a first in the series. Could be interesting.

Yeah, Satsu is still single. I never thought about this but this pairing already I like. Yay for Kennedy/Satsu (Kennetsu or Satsunedy?)
Mr. Pole: "Satsu" I never liked that name.. it always reminded me of a fruit.
...or cinnamon? her lips have cinnamon's flavor, and Buffy like it.
"You're hot, you have great taste, you're a hell of a Slayer, and you smell good."

If it wasn't for Kennedy with her a little bit pushing attitude towards Willow, she would hardly start any new relationship for a long time.

Everyone always says how Kennedy was pushy with Willow but I honestly don't see it. What did she do, did some mild flirting and took her out on a date (which wasn't even fancy)? Kennedy really wasn't that pushy with Willow.

Oh no! We're heading towards lesbian stereotypes here! You know the one where every lesbian has to hook up with every lesbian 😛

In a good way😉 She is just sort of very active girl in every department not just with Willow.

I'll give you that, Kennedy knows how to make an impression :P

I've seen just about everyone in the Buffyverse paired up with everyone else at one point or another by someone on these boards. Don't think it's falling into stereotypes.
Oh my bad!

It was just a joke, I meant it's a real life stereotype
