School Hard: Spike and Angel(us)

I'm pretty sure he didn't realise it in Why We Fight, and he didn't seem to know it in Fool For Love/Darla either, so it doesn't seem like he can sense the presence of the soul. As to how he knew in School Hard, I'd guess that he worked it out when talking to him (Angel says he's just pretending to be harmless so that he can feed without Buffy stopping him - Spike would probably realise that Angelus wouldn't just do this while making no attempt to actually hurt or kill the Slayer), or he already knew about Angel's soul (he could easily have heard about it somewhere).

Hmm, it's getting like that old favourite record, it comes out every now and then.

So, did Spike know?
Darla knew, she was fairly good friends with Drusilla, and Spike to a lesser extent. So the chances are she may have mentioned it at some point in the 90 years or so to Drusilla ( Angel and Darla were together for about 150 years. Angel is about 244, so that leaves about 90 years.)
Another way Spike could have known was that Drusilla may have told him.
You then go into the, ' are vampires psychic? '.
In many films and books vampires are said to be psychic. Why? Well the easiest explanation of that would be due to vampires being not of God, and that having psychic ability was an affront to God ( Drusilla was told that prior to becoming a vampire. )
So it stands to reason that Spike knew that 'Old Uncle Tom' had a soul.
Then there's the thing about Spike being a vampire and him being psychic himself, to a lesser degree.

Then we have the issue of what is canon? Do you believe in canon?
Odd really, 'cos canon refers to something being the truth according to the bible.
This, in a TV show about ungodly creatures written by a person who doesn't believe everything about the bible.

But I digress, canon is said to be what is in the TV series. Yet in the TV series the master states quite clearly that he has a soul. And yet it appears there are those who do not believe the master had a soul, and with that being in the series, it should be canon, so what is canon?

Most things do have an answer, it's just that there are those who do not believe the answer. Canon or not.

I think Spike Always Knew Angel Had A soul but just didnt want to ask or bring it up untill absolutely nescersarry.

Kind of like that freind youve had since you where little and part of you always knew he was gay but didnt bring it up or ask at the risk of sounding harsh if its not true / stirring up trouble(personal experiance)

he probably didnt want to believe his sire, his "Yoda" (i love that line 😛) had a soul so he kept pretending he didnt. I think the only reason he excepted it in School Hard was because there was such a difference in Angels (wich he was used to) Attitude to Angelus wich angel pretended to be. Spike probably thought 'Wait a second, Angel hasnt even been this evil around me' and decided his freindship and trust with angel wasnt worth been slain by buffy.
Also Angel said he acted like a puppy dog and all innocent so he could feed without having the slayer on his back, i doubt spike bought that because that was the way he acted back when they where the 'fanged four' why would he put on a act infront of them?
