Scream 4

I have alot of hope that Scream 4 will be way better than Scream 3. I'm just so happy they are taking it back to where it all started in Woodsboro because that's what I felt they should've done with 3. I have a good feeling about this sequel. I just hope the next 2 will be able to live up to it as well. I'm hoping 3 remains the worst 🙂

I liked all three movies, I didn't like the Sidney's mom stuff in three but I could handle the rest and it does have my favorite line in all the movies "Do you know why you kill people, because you choose to. There is no one else to blame." Love that. You can have a sucky life but it doesn't justify becoming a killer, and after hearing the killers in the previous movies bitch about their past and the effect it had on them, it was cool to hear Sidney basically say that it's all just a crappy excuse. 😀 I hope she makes it through 4.
As for Dewey and Gale. Keeping all three main characters alive again for the fourth time, I don't think it'll happen. My guess - Dewey's gone. 🙁

I will be so mad if they kill Sid off, especially at the beginning!!! I feel like they should let her live until the next movie & give her a good send off then. I don't want it to be like Laurie dying in the beginning of Halloween Resurrection...
 
Good point wild at heart I try to forget Halloween resurrection even exists at times, I just hate what they did at the beginning makes no sense.

I would be gutted (no pun intended) if that happened. Oh, no... I would totally cry the rest of the movie.
 
I actually don't want any of the main cast to die to be honest. But if I had to choose out of the three I would pick Gail. I think that sid and Dewey have been through so much but they all have so I just hope they all make it through.

I will be ticked if they kill Sid at the beginning this long wait for her to just be killed at the beginning? Plus it would not be shocking if she did because there is already so much speculation.

This wouldn't surprise me at all actually. I mean, Neve wasn't on board from the off and I think the death in the first few minutes is pretty much a given.

I mean Neve is the biggest name, right? (I'd say so anyway, due to her role in the first three so just go with it 😉) And that was the pull with the first one. Drew Barrymore was portrayed as having this huge role - fully credited and is it her face on the cover? Can't remember - and then bam, dead in the first scenes. So, I can see this. And as much as I love Syd, I wouldn't be adverse to that for the reasons above. But then is it shocking if we've predicted it and given reasons as to why? lol

I'm not sure if I want the 'main' cast to all survive or not. I'm not sure what will be best for the films that will follow. Man, am I undecided! lol
 
Well, the way I see it is that Sidney always managed to break the rules of horror movies. Yes, she had sex (with the killer no less!), but she still managed to fight through it. If they were going to name the 'rules' of a horror movie redux then number 1 would have to be that it's time to kill off the main cast. But, if we were going to look at it in Scream rules, it's usually the opposite. So that means Sidney will be aware of the rule, but refuse to let it happen.

Lets face it, horror movies aren't very good at giving decent send offs, and that's all that we would want to see. Not a 5 second death scene and then that's it. I'm going to be mighty disappointed if they kill off one of the main three. It just seems so obvious and standard. I would rather see something more from Wes Craven and co. Something a little more shocking.

See I am with you here about the Drew thing it was so new and fresh but now that is has been done it is going to be as shocking for us that it is predicted.
I just can't wait to see it to see how it all works out lol.
 
I totally agree with Flannen and Marisa - it definitely won't shock the audience to see someone die in the first scene. Generally I think it has been the first person we see gets killed right? Won't it be much more shocking to have Sidney attacked in the first scene, it's looking like she's going to die and then all of a sudden Gail and Dewey bust in and shoot the killer, then as they turn to tend to a wounded Sidney, the killer escapes, leading them all to realise that they have forgotten the rules.

Something like that anyway. I definitely want to see a twist on things. Not the same old that we're used to.

Cait that is good! I love that idea it is like it is a new generation and new rules. They have to learn and adapt. I agree I love the original screams but I would like to see some new rules or a twist on them to make it interesting.

PS. LOL I could picture deputy Dewey busting in the room. I just love David in that role.
 
I really couldn't picture anyone else but David in the role of Dewey. He really made it awesome. He showed the slightly geeky side, while still being awesome and giving off a certain strength that other actors may have missed.

The main advertising slogan has been new era, new rules, so I'm going to be mightily disappointed if it's just more of the same!

Your right about David though and I also think he brought the sexy to the role if I am being honest 😉
I always loved when he and Gail first were flirting about him watching her tv show oh the memories i need to watch these again before halloween.

I would too lol that is a good idea. LOL we should all make banners for the special day. :) Oh I love that quote and the look on his face.
Dewey and Gail are completely adorable. I don't think the romance between them would have been as believable/adorable with other actors in the parts, especially by the time "Scream 3" was filmed they were married IRL, weren't they?

I know they have strong chemistry and I love that they have lasted. i think they were married by that time, didnt hear name have arquette? Hmm not sure.
I went on IMDB last night as I was watching "Scream 2" and there are some really interesting trivia bits on there. For instance, the girl SMG was on the phone with just before the bad guy shows up is Selma Blair. 😀

I also read on IMDB that Charisma Carpenter was actually up for the role of Cotton Weary's girlfriend who died first in "Scream 3". That would have been awesome if she was in it!

Oh darn I wish she would have gotten it! That would have been very awesome.
There's a spoiler out Courtney Cox's character that I'm not really sure which way to take it. It's kinda like an open ended spoiler. lol

But I am soooo psyched for this film I actually had a dream last night that i went to an advance screening of it lmao
