Spoiler! Scream VI - Spoilers

I started watching scream and what kept me watching it was the character of Sidney Prescott. I liked how she could fight the the ghost face killer, better and better every movie she encountered them. The other scream movie that I have not seen is scream five and I plan on seeing it as soon as I can. I will not be seeing Scream 6 since Neve Campbell will not be reprising her role as Sidney Prescott. Gale being in it is not enough incentive for me to see it. I did not start watching screen movies to see Courtney cox as Gale Weathers. I am so disappointed that scream 6 will not feature Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, because I feel that this is a disservice to Al, the work that Neve Campbell has put into the character of Sidney Prescott and making the Franchise a success. I feel that Neve Campbell and Sidney Prescott are the heart of the Scream movies and it just isn’t the same without either one. It will not matter to me if I see spoilers for the movie since I’m not gonna see it anyway. I only hope that Neve Campbell will be in the final Scream movie or the next one if it is the final one.

I'm going tomorrow afternoon and for those who follow me on Youtube we'll have our review out the next day hopefully. There's that rumour that they could bring Sidney back for part 7 so I'm wondering they signed the deal and filmed something with her for the post credit sequence?

Considering the scene they could easily bring Sidney back, but then again, they could just as easily have her killed offscreen.

I read that we may be surprised by a Neve appearance in Scream 6 but it could be just a rumor; if they did get her though, of course they'd want to keep it under wraps.... If they really didn't get Neve for Scream 6 at all, they're probably trying to turn Gale into the "new" Sydney/final girl. Personally, I'm kind of hoping Gale dies in the beginning because we need a seriously banger, shocking opening scene to Scream 6. I hope it actually surprises me by being surprising, not by being something that I should've predicted because it's that obvious (like the killers in Scream '22)

I just posted my top 10 Scream kills in another thread but I'm excited to see if Scream 6 knocks off any of my current top 10.
  1. Tatum Riley, Scream '96 (the sequels have failed to come up w/any death as unique/creative/iconic as hers)
  2. Casey Becker, Scream '96 (iconic obviously)
  3. Casey 'Cici' Cooper, Scream 2 (hello SMG and iconic connection to the O.G.)
  4. Derek Feldman, Scream 2 (twisty, beautifully staged, tragic)
  5. Richie Kirsch, Scream '22 (loved seeing Sam kill that mf'er)
  6. Amber Freeman, Scream '22 (also loved seeing her get hers from Gale)
  7. Dewey Riley, Scream '22 (he deserved better honestly but it had to be either him or Gale to die in Scream '22 )
  8. Judy Hicks, Scream '22 (so brutal, I didn't think the writers would really kill her off (and so brutally) for some reason)
  9. Wes Hicks, Scream '22 (also, like his mother, pretty brutal; felt very classic 'Scream' & well staged too)
  10. Rachel Barnes, Scream 4 (Stab 7, I love Kristen Bell (Chloe) telling Anna Paquin (Rachel) after stabbing her in the gut- 'Did you see that coming? Now STFU & watch the movie 😂)
HM: Rebecca Walters, Scream 4 (she kind of deserved it & I love the theatrics of Ghostface throwing her body off the parking garage onto the news van) & Angelina Tyler, Scream 3 (also really unlikable)

I would prefer they leave Sidney out of it now, at least for awhile. I like the idea of her walking off into the Sunset and living happily with her family. There's something pleasing about that as the end of her arc given her history. It will be interesting where we stand with the characters after this movie. It looks like they are bringing in a big cast but that most of them will be one shot characters. If they do kill of one of the main characters the urge then we maybe getting Sidney and Gale in the Scream franchise for awhile.

I'll be waiting to watch this until Friday night, but I will look forward to seeing your thoughts! My tickets are for Friday night.
