I found the whole season so unoriginal, nothing new really happen there was the usual big bag..but he was just a bit bigger 😛.
There wasn't much of the classic funny Buffy lines. Apart from the wonderful Andrew, he really cracked me up! and everyone seemed to talking in long tedious over the top speeches and i didn't care whether Buffy lived or died.

In fact in some episodes i was parying someone would kill her to stop her moaning and all woe is me! She had 7 seasons to realise that shit things always happen to her and it was pretty likley all the people she cared about were going to die!
which i so bad i know!

Season 7 was great because the gang really came back together and became more scooby esque. Season 6 was so dark that I found I was relieved for 7 because Xander was cracking jokes and the gang was actually hanging out. It was very nice.
 
Yeah, i know a lot of people don't fancy S7 much at all, but i honestly thought it was great. Agreed the potentials did drag the show down at times, but seeing Spike back with a soul and his interactions with Buffy, was a highlight of the season. Plus, Buffy's fight with the Uber-Vamp in bring on the night, it reminded me of a scene from the Terminator or something lol.
 
ok,ok maybe there were some classic lines but not as much as I'd have wanted 🙂 I think its probably because i loved the earlier seasons and maybe because i knew it was the last season, the sadness clouded my view!

Classic SHOWS, not just lines. 'Him' was one of the best 'comedy' Buffys there was.
 
I used to think s7 was kinda slow and boring but theres lots of good episodes, and i loved Spike/Wood storyline, and Caleb was an amzing bigbad.
Then theres Andrew, Turokan, Faith. Yeah, definetly not the best but still a good season.
 
The first six or seven episodes were great, but then it started to drag. The First had so many apportonities to be interesting and dark, but it never used them. Spike/Wood was a rewrite of Angel/Holtz, but it wasn't that bad. It was a good storyline, just not original. There were too many characters and the focus shifted from our favorites such as Xander, Giles, Anya and Dawn. The last four episodes were probably written by a 13 year old Spuffy fan and the Scoobies were nothing but shells of themselves.

I know right! The potentials sucked, and what was with the whole long face trend, LOL. Spike and Buffy were the highlight!
I Know i'm basicaly repeating what your saying but you are so right!
 
I love season seven. The potentials didn't really bother me. Buffy and Spike's stories were great. When I watch season seven i never skip an episode. So no, I don't find it boring.

What? Season seven is my favorite! (Oh well, to each her own, I suppose). I thought it was so great seeing Buffy mature from season six and the progression that she made. It was great seeing the gang back together and Spike's path to redemption. Although, I missed Tara terribly and Dawn ended up annoying me to no end this season, as did Kennedy.
 
I liked Season 7, i thought it was a very good season, but could have been brilliant. After Dirty Girls, the pace of the show just screeched to a halt. Empty Places was ok, but Touched and End of Days, could have easily been condensed down into one episode.When I re-watch the season, i tend to skip to the parts I like on both these episodes. It kinda felt, that they were saving the big bucks for Chosen, so threw in some dialogue heavy episodes.

But the main reason I like this season is due to Buffy and Spike, and the way it really opened my eyes to their characters. This was the season that made me really notice Buffy. She is my favorite character now, but wasn't always. I liked Oz and Willow. But i just thought she was amazing in year 7, Gellar owned this season, no doubt. It made me really aware of her character when re-watching the earlier seasons, and just how strong and inspiring her character was. Not always the most likable, but willing to fight the big fight. Gotta love that.

And how did i come to realise how great she was, well that was Spike.

Before Season 7, i didn't like Spike, i know - " is he nuts, who doesn't like spike?"
I thought he was a great character in season 2, who should have appeared maybe once a season after that, like with "lovers walk".
I hated the chip in his head storyline, thought it was a lame way to get him into the group. Season 5, let's have him fall for Buffy, so we can keep him around, again with the lameness, Season 6, well the attempted rape, not gonna make me a fan. Season 7 - oh wait Spike's kinda cool.

I loved how Buffy stuck by him, he did awful things, but he had a soul now, and she had faith in him. And because of this he wasn't going to let her down. When they kicked her out of the house, and he stood up for her, i thought, "wow spike is great. " And then the classic,
"I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy." I thought " Spike f***ing rules".

I like season 7, because i felt it was a fitting ending to the show, and it allows me to watch earlier seasons and really enjoy the characters more, because i know just how great they will become. I just hope season 8 doesn't ruin it for me.

I thought that the entire season was really good, although "Him" was kind of a filler episode that could be overlooked. "Dirty Girls" was so good that it was hard to live up to that, but the dialogue in "Touched" and "End of Days" was brilliant. It's not the big bad or the potentials that make this season my favorite, but rather, Spike and Buffy's relationship, and how it progressed from the dark place that both of them had been in from season six to this beautiful thing that they had that was full of trust and love and was really caring and tender. Their relationship and interaction in "Touched" and "End of Days" really make those episodes watchable and at the end of "Chosen" I always end up crying, especially with the fire. That is, I believe, the most beautiful image that's ever been on Buffy.
Oh dear god, season eight was horrible. *shudders*
 
I really like season seven, I can see how compared to some of the other seasons it was a bit lack luster though. I actually thought Him was pretty funny, and Storyteller was even better for the giggles, Andrew is a crack up. The potentials I just look at as background noise, I dont really pay that much attention to them, there is not a single one that I really like, but I dont care enough about them to say "oh I hate so and so". I definatly enjoyed the Buffy/Spike relationship in season 7, Beneath You, Touched and Chosen had very moving scenes for them, I was itching for them to get back together properly but ofcourse for all the obvious and valid reasons it wasnt gonna happen at that point in time. I also liked Willow's arc and think that The Killer In Me was a good ep, and loved Faith coming back and the apperance of all the old characters as the first, and ofcourse Caleb was great. The only person I think they should have mabye given a bit more attention to was Xander. Over all its my 5th favourite season, it was heaps good but compared to some of the others it just didnt have that pop.
 
I really like s7. It was nice, and not at all boring! Maybe I'm a little biased because it's the first season I really followed, big bad and everything, in a 'I soooo need to watch the next episode' fashion, but yea, I liked it.
And honestly, don't we all love to get speechified? 😀

Haha, so glad some other people agree with me. 🙂 Season 5 was actually the first season that I really thought was amazing-ness because it was so good (even though I'd followed all of the previous ones before, it wasn't like I had with season 5) and when season 7 came along I was just amazed constantly by it. I thought it was a very beautiful season.

*Spike got really whiney and irritating, thank god for Angel Season 5
*Spuffy here made me wanna barf
*Drusilla called Spike "daddy" am I the only one who got annoyed at this?
*The first didnt link up with seasn 3 (E.g in Amends, Jenny touched him)
*There wasnt realy any closure with the first

-Well, Spike did have to be the damsel-in-distress with his soul. Think about Angelus when he became Angel. He went through the same things, just over a longer period of time.
-What?! This season definitely has the most beautiful part of their relationship, the Spuffy interactions in this season always make me cry the most.
-Well, Dru is crazy, so it didn't really bother me when I first watched it
-I don't think there was any closure with the first because as it was already said, it cannot be destroyed and it will forever exist.
