I'll break it down for you: (to make it easy)
Up till now there are
seven issues of
Buffy season 8 and they are:
-#1-4 "The Long Way Home" by Joss Whedon
-#5 "The Chain" by Joss Whedon
#6 and 7 "No Future For You" parts 1 and 2 (of 4)
In the following months issues #8 and #9 will be released, this would finish the Faith arc (No Future For You)
Around the same time a TPB collecting the first arc will be released (this is from issue 1 to 5)
Issues #10 and #11 will be standalones (like #5) written by Joss Whedon
Also available are the Buffy Omnibuses which are collections of the previously released
non-canon Buffy comics, (this is a series that ran for years and is just considered a companion to the TV show and not an actual part of the Buffy story) volumes 1 and 2 are available right now, they collect the issues in chronological order as oposed to release date...(these have NOTHING to do with Season 8 though)
I would recomend getting the 7 issues of season 8 that are available as well as Fray and Tales of the Slayers which are also written by Joss Whedon, the Omnibus editions I can only recomend if you love Buffy comics...
Oh yeah the "No Future for You" TPB will be relesed next year, and will collect issues 6 to 11.
Is this too complicated?? I just realized it might be a little bit..sorry hope it isn't though
🙂
Edit: It is important to mention that every issue from season 8 has 1 or 2 different covers, these are variant covers, a lot of people get confused with this and think there are more issues.., ore that there is something extra inside, well not really, so only get these if you are a hardcore collector, otherwise make sure yo're buying issues 1 through 4 and not 4 different covers of two issues.
