Seeing Spike and Angel dusted for the first time

When you saw Spike and Angel dusted by Illyria in Time Bomb how did you react? idky but I've always wondered what it looked like if Spike and Angel got staked make sense?
 
It was different seeing it in "Time Bomb" than it was in "The Wish" when Angel gets staked (which was the better scene I thought). I was pretty surprised in "Time Bomb", but after a few seconds I stopped buying it. I mean, when Angel, Spike and Wesley all get killed in a span of 15 seconds, you have to know something's up.

Both times though, it was...strange seeing Angel (and then Spike) dusted. I suppose it makes sense, but for whatever reason I always kind of thought it would be more epic, like The Master, when they finally go.

I agree with you. It always disturbs me when main characters get killed off like they're extras. It's why I can never watch Pulp Fiction XD
 
I had seen Angel be staked before, in "The Wish", but I was pretty shocked to see Illyria stake them in "Time Bomb". But like [MENTION=11975]Always Bangel[/MENTION] said, I knew they weren't going to stay dead, so I didn't get all crazy about it or anything.
 
Lol I kind of went a little bit crazy when I saw it actually *blushes* because I was shocked and horrified even if I knew they were going to make it... I thought it was just a hint traumatizing to see them reduced to nothing but dust just like that.

Well The Master was a lot older and probably more powerful than Angel or Spike so his death would be different.
 
We seem to have seen Angel dusted alot now that I think about it. Didn't Drusilla stake him in a dream Buffy had? Afterwards she says "happy birthday Buffy"
 
I was surprised for about 5 seconds, and then I remembered that this is the Whedonverse, and almost NOBODY stays dead for very long
 
Hahaha, I thought it was awesome. One of the coolest scenes on Angel. 😛 😉 It was great to see pretty much the whole Fang Gang get dusted or killed in the span of ten seconds. Showed how powerful Illyria. Oh anddd you gotta love Spike's reaction when he got staked midway through saying something, lmao.
 
I didn't buy Angel's death for a second. This was his show. There's no way they'd kill him off before the end of the season and in a completely anti-climactic way.

Spike, on the other hand...watching it for the first time, I did wonder if it was going to turn out to be Joss' big 'F-YOU' to those network suits who said that they'd only renew Angel if Spike was brought onto the show. Like 'well, you didn't tell me how long he had to stick around for, so...'

And by that stage, I think, they'd known their wasn't going to be a renewal for S6, so, yeah...I did think it was Joss' last big twist.

No such luck, lol.

Ha, speak for yourself because I would have hated it, but considering JM's name was in the titles I doubted that was going to happen really. 😀
 
It didn't surprised me. I've watched both series post airing and (worst) read all AtS S5 episodes descriptions, so I knew both vamps will survive till the end.
