Serious Complaint!!!

Of course im in my 20s so maybe it's my old age speaking.

Which is why I didn't understand why he got so mad in the first place about it. I really don't care what my Karma says...I've been around the boards for a couple of months and people know me by my posts, not by the little jewel by my name. I just got mad when my name got slung around...don't like that sorta stuff.

Yeah,but green is prettier than red😛😉...ok,it is just a jewel,but imagine you're a newbie and you see a guy with -90 of rep,you think 'gotta stay away from him' lol😛. I think he thought that we were going to stop liking him cuz he had -30 ,well,I've had -70, you Cordy, have -34...so what?,doesn't matter. Old members know us and they know that we don't deserve then green jewel lol😛...nah,I don't think other members think about our jewels really....concerning the newbies,well,we make them like us or we chain them up😀.
If Karma is important or not doesn't matter,the thing is that he broke several rules and suffered the consequences...btw,why are we still discussing this?. He is not comming back...at least not with his old screename...

Half the times I don't think I ever even look at that little green (or sometimes red) stones unless something is brought up about it. I'm not going to base my opinion on if someone's little jewel next to their name is red or green. especially if I don't even look at it half the time.

OT: That spreading reputation thing is a pain sometimes to me too. cause sometimes I'll see a really great post...that I totally agree with, and I can't give them rep cause I have to spread it around first, by the time i spread it around...I probably wouldn't be able to find the original one I wanted to give rep to. Is there anyway that can be changed? Or would you just not want to change it cause then some people would just keep giving it to the same person over and over? I don't know if anyone would do that though...I just give rep to anyone who I see that has some really great posts....

Well I'll take a look at what it's set at now and then see if it needs lowered. I don't want to remove it totally, because, as you said then people will just give it to the same person all the time. But I think the purpose behind it is to make you really use the feature, rather than just giving points once in a long while 🙂

I believe so, due that the registration process would require an e-mail and switching e-mail accounts would allow you to register as a different person, thus a new Buffy-Boards.com account.

I think IP is something that identifys a computer. I don't want to say who I think is a bit like him/her in case I'm wrong. Info on karma should be in the FAQ. I don't know about how people seem to know his/her gender but I'm sure someone else does.
