I think it's awesome that a show like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which presents a completely pro-gay stance, can bring together so many open-minded people. You guys rock.
I'm gay. Totally and completely. I've known since 8th grade, and for me, I'm not ashamed and I have no regrets. And every single one of my friends and family know and I've got to say, some had their reservations AT FIRST, but I can assure you they all accept me for me now.
Because really, why should we be defined by who we prefer to date or marry or spend the rest of our lives with? Why should that be a defining factor in our overall personality? It shouldn't. When people make it out to be a huge deal, it gets me. Yes, I'm gay. I like men. BUT, I'm also an artist. I love to act. I play in a band. I like the color blue. And I'm totally digging Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. But no, nowadays, people only focus on the gay part. So naturally, I tune those people out. I have no time for close-minded people like that.
I think it's awesome that there are so many people coming out for the first time on here, too. Pretty damn big of you, I've gotta say.
