I'm Bisexual, and have no problem accepting it. I feel strongly about this subject and gay rights, and being gay/bisexual is totally the norm for me. The problem is, I step a couple of inches out of my doorway and the rest of the world seems to disagree. I can't be as open as i'd like to be about it, because i'd get tortured for it. Although, if someone did ask me what my sexuality is, i'd answer with the truth, because i'm not gonna lie for anybody.

Re:

I'm Bi-sexual. I don't think it defines me, it's just a minute piece to the NSlay puzzle....it's merely a preference....and I guess I don't have one...LOL But, seriously....I think theres beauty to be found in all people, male and female....My love sees no gender or color....never has..... :love08:

cood thread cordy😉 em, i don't think it defines me that much, like who I am... but of couse it impacts my life and WHO i live it with. but it doesn't define me(LOl repeat :bootyshak ). i was thinking for a short minute of so, maybe i'm bi, a few years ago, but no.. i'm not. :teeth::

gracias!
Straight hetero. I've been with the same man since I was seventeen (I'm twenty-two now) and we've been married for two years.

Yet, even though I'm straight, I don't really care what the heck somebody else is. As long as they don't say anything about my relationship (and they wouldn't) then I'm not going to say anything about theirs. So, I commend all of you for admitting (cuz I think that would be hard if I was... but you're obviously very strong people).

:woot: We're all still friends!

I don't know... Girls have far superior personalities, which is what one should be attracted to, really, but then David and James do look yummy 😉 Also, I made out with a guy once, but he was blegh! In theory, I believe everyone is/should be bisexual.

Have to say I agree with that last bit.
I'm bi, but I don't think that it defines me. I don't think it should matter so much what your sexual preference is. If you love someone be it guy or girl, then good for you.

Yea, I used to believe that... in theory, 'cause yea, I am pretty sure I'm not bi. People say "you never know", and sure, I might fall in love with a guy some day, if I met the right one at the right time and blah blah... It just really really doesn't feel like that could happen. But, I don't believe anyone is really 100% anything. If straight is black and gay is white, we're all different shades or grey eh? Or something. Some almost black and some almost white (almost entirely straight/gay), but most people seem to have the ability to be at least attracted to people from both sexes.
But saying everyone is/should be bi is a bit convenient, in a good way. Because we are usually making these things a lot more comlicated than they really are and/or should have to be. Letting the I fall in love with a person no matter what sex they are-cliché rule might actually help making things less complicated.. (Even though I hate clichés almost more than I love sarcasm, which says a lot).

Now this is an interesting topic.

At least in my world there is such a thing as equality and I really do believe in it. So how can we say that there is equality if we don't treat everyone the same and to some extent that would have to include everyone being bisexual. Of course there are the biological differences, but is that really what we fall for? At least not in my world.

The everyone-is-bi question is kind of hard. I used to say that everyone was bi all the time a couple of years ago, but I don't know anymore, for me it has always been like I haven't thought much about what sex other people have, but it's very hard for me to know how other people really feel since I really can't go in to their brains...

Agree with epo; I don't think it's all black and white anyway.

Ultimately I just think it's up to everyone, and I don't really care that much for what sexuality people define themselves as, as long as they are happy (and they all lived happily ever after.. 😉 )

You know the "happy ever after" doesn't fit with the fact your sig looks like its about to hit you. Irony is fun :)

Yeah, I agree. Logically this is how it should work, in my world too. It should work this way, it's fair and it's equal and all that, it's just not the way I feel. And I wish this was the kind of thing we could control, and sure it might be to some, I just know what I feel and how I work, and it doesn't match with how I think it should work... Unfortunately. It might have to do with how I was brought up, or with this society we live in, or with the kind of guys and girls I've met.. but still, it's how I feel, and maybe because of that I'm not treating guys and girls equal, but hey, can't really do much about it... just don't see myself falling for a guy..

On that note, I wonder what would happen to a person dumped on an deserted island and stripped of society and the need to have children and alongside this person was another woman and man who weren't supposed to act towards each other...and I see how much this turns into some kinda psycho Mengele experiment. Anyway I just wonder what human beings natural state would be if we didn't have to parent another generation. Or if there even is such a thing as a natural state.

I guess I would be defined as heterosexual, but of course everyone goes through some sort of confusion during puberty and such. I used to be extremely envious of the way other guys looked and I always thought "Hey, maybe that's a sign that you're bi", but lately I've become a lot more comfortable with the way I look, so I don't do that as much. Plus, I honestly cannot see myself in a relationship with a guy. I love my guy friends, we have a blast, and that's just how I see it. I love everything about a woman... from their girlyness, to small hands, body type, et cetera. Well except for how long they take to shop and how they have to look at every item. I mean really, c'mon now.

We just want to make sure we're buying the right thing(s). :redwink:

I don't think that sexual orientation really matters at all. I mean, who really cares? I think that people should do whatever makes them happy.

I think it's awesome that a show like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which presents a completely pro-gay stance, can bring together so many open-minded people. You guys rock.

I'm gay. Totally and completely. I've known since 8th grade, and for me, I'm not ashamed and I have no regrets. And every single one of my friends and family know and I've got to say, some had their reservations AT FIRST, but I can assure you they all accept me for me now.

Because really, why should we be defined by who we prefer to date or marry or spend the rest of our lives with? Why should that be a defining factor in our overall personality? It shouldn't. When people make it out to be a huge deal, it gets me. Yes, I'm gay. I like men. BUT, I'm also an artist. I love to act. I play in a band. I like the color blue. And I'm totally digging Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. But no, nowadays, people only focus on the gay part. So naturally, I tune those people out. I have no time for close-minded people like that.

I think it's awesome that there are so many people coming out for the first time on here, too. Pretty damn big of you, I've gotta say.
