We've ALL done some incredibly stupid things in our lives. (Don't lie, you know you have!) So, it's time to share with your fellow BB family members. In retrospect, what are some of the most idiotic things you've done?

Now, I know you'll find this difficult to believe 😛 but I have done A LOT of really stupid things. Here's one:

When I lived in Mammoth, we used to go on a lot of nature walks. (For those of you who don't know, Mammoth is a volcano. It's not "officially" active, but there's quite a few lively steam vents, and sulfur seeps out of the ground in places, killing the trees)
In some places, there are signs that say, "Warning! Do not enter. Poison gases beyond this point." Its also blocked off. But one day, my friends and I decided to ignore the sign, go around the gate, and continue up the path. (Why? Because we're idiots) Well, within 7 or 8 minutes, we had trouble breathing, chest pain, and dizziness. We grabbed each other's hand and got the hell out of there. One of our group passed out as we escaped, but me and the other delinquent managed to get her down the path. Meanwhile, some tourists had called the Fish and Wildlife officers, who gave us a stern talking to. "That's why the path is blocked off and there's a warning sign!" They were so pissed. We could've died. God, that was really stupid!

Your turn. 😎

Year before last, I tried to go surfing while weak and unfit in shark infested waters. I got caught in a rip, stuck in the break, then caught a dumper in and got smashed on the sandband. Luckily I had a chiro appointment right after but still had chest/sternum pain after two weeks went to hospital and they suspected fracture or at least another cartliage break. Just under 3 months later I was told I had pnemonia. Not sure if inhaling the ocean can cause that.

There was a white shark sighting that day 50 odd metres from where we were surfing. Didnt find that out til after obvs but we were aware there had been a sighting that week.

My 'best?' times were when I did ghost hunting.
At one of the mass burial grounds for plague victims.
In Tintagel, Cornwall England I heard demonic beings then I saw a demonic being fairly close to me. Not recommended.
If I had given heed to my first warning, well serves me right.
At Berry Pomeroy Castle near Totnes South Devon, England I saw a ghost and the ghost of that ghost (doppelganger)
there is about 20 ghosts there, The castle is the most haunted castle in Great Britain. One is classified as an evil entity
12 are successful Devil Worshippers.
That is a fun place to be.
A goody was following a known Black Witch into a haunted house, that's when I found out there's truth in the saying that evil protects its own.

I've got plenty I could share, especially from my childhood. A brief one is the time when I was 13 and saw a bull laying on the ground. I have NO idea why I thought it would be a good idea, but I climbed on the bull's back. The bull was less than pleased and stood up, causing my to fall and rip the jeans I had on (at the crotch, so I walked home having to use my hand to cover it as best I could). I'm lucky the bull didn't trample me or something as he was no doubt annoyed with me (and no one would've seen it).

As an adult I've wondered why I did that as it's so stupid (even for me at 13), and the best I can come up with is I was bored and I just wanted to say I'd rode a real bull (though all I did was fall off as the bull stood up). But as far as I can recall, it was just some weird impulse I acted on.

Okay......If we're talking real stupid.......
Back in the days when guns were semi-legal in the UK I used to go to a local range to practice regularly.
This one day a friend had brought along a genuine very early model revolver to fire. Now this revolver was loaded from the front by pouring powder into each chamber then pushing the cast lead shot in on top then pressing it home with the lever under the barrel.
You then plugged a small percussion cap in the back of each chamber.
Some time later the owner was heading off to a different part of the range to fire a rifle, so I asked if I could have a go with the revolver while he was gone.
Before he left he gave me two pieces of advice.
1. After loading, seal each chamber with vaseline! (Seems that back in the day they used grease or wax to seal the chambers).
2. Don't expect to hit the target, it's really inaccurate at ranges over 30ft!

Anyway......I of course chose to ignore the advice of the person who had actually fired the gun & decided that a bit more powder would help with the inaccuracy, & the vaseline was just to stop the shot falling out the front of the four exposed chambers. so as long as I kept the barrel pointed up between shots I didn't need to bother!
So.....I take aim & squeeze the trigger nice & gently..............
There is one loud bang & a huge flash followed almost immediately by another almighty bang, a big cloud of black smoke & the gun is ripped out of my hand & disappears over my shoulder nearly tearing my ear off.
Turns out the vaseline is not to hold the shot in, but to keep the back-blast from the muzzle out!
When I fired, the over-packed chamber's muzzle-flash ignited the exposed chambers on either side of the barrel & so I fired off five shots at once like a massive shotgun blast.......!

Always wondered if the owner ever noticed the slight dent on the base of the handgrip where it hit the wall at the back of the range.......
I of course never mentioned it.......Oh and of the five bullets? All I know is they went downrange.....somewhere!

Disclaimer.....No target was harmed in the making of this screw-up!

That wasn't stupid,
when I was a lad me and my mate chiselled a round hole into a rock, put a stick of dynamite into the hole and the fuse from it and to the ground whare we laid our line of gunpowder back to where we were stood. Our boulders of protection were only three feet away, the stick of dynamite was about 25 feet away. So we lit the fuse thinking we had plenty of time to get behind the cover. Upon lighting the gunpowder it took nearly half a second for the fuse to contact the dynamite , we almost hit the ground as bits of rock hurtled in every direction known to man.

And what is the moral of the story, a bloody great long fuse is a good thing.
Still, we were nowhere as thick as Guy Fawkes.

I was speaking to someone online that had the same first name as my favourite celebrity so I decided to ask them if they were the famous model/instagram star because there was no picture of themselves 😂😂😂😂😂
