"Smashed" - what's up with that!?

Spuffy Is Hot.... 😀

I concur! ^_^

Also, We already saw Buffy's inevitable breakdown and how she would only confide in Spike. And Spike, being Buffy-whipped, totally did whatever she wanted, it just worked out particularly well for him this time.

And we also know that she didn't really like what she was doing, so yeah.

again I say Spuffy is hot 😀... mhm... Smashed I think is a good ep... and as i have said before this scene i think was symbolic of their relationship.. until season 7... where lust turns into love... which i think is beautiful

they were in love.. but not that sorta 'love' ... there is so many ways of loving and differnt types... there love was.. intense.. its not about it being physically.. there was/is that spark

i gota say i found this seen a little bit disturbing it was violent and really in your face, but i also think it was the perfect scene as it portrayed Buffy and Spikes relationship perfectly,as they are always fighting and didnt like eachother.

Sorry but I, myself, am very tired of Bangel. They were too good, too innocent. I felt more with Buffy and Spike than with her and Angel. Everything with Bangel wasn' treal enough for me. The only time I truley loved Bangel was in "I Will Remember You". But I definitely think Buffy loves Spike or is growing to love him.

Quite frankly, Bangel's teenaged angst bored me. I didn't even like it in "I Will Remember You", because Buffy became a victim of psychic rape thanks to Angel, and most people treat his actions as romantic.

I actually thought that it was a good scene BECAUSE it was disturbing. As people are saying it sums up their relationship in that season perfectly. I thought the building falling down around them was a nice touch, as it showed that their relationship was passionte but destructive. It wouldn't have worked if they were 'Making Love', because their relationship in that season was based on sex and had no meaning behind it.

Okay, I'm not sure what the issue is here?

Are you guys trying to say that you have never had sex that brought a house down?

Tut, kids today! No stamina! 😛

Indeed!

Oh man, I don't think Spike would even be CAPABLE of 'Making Love' until after he got his soul back.

I did find the scene disturbing and quite obscene, but in a way I liked it because it illustrated the point perfectly...Buffy's emotional state and all that. And it also showed how their thing wasn't exactly healthy and that it was more lust-based than anything (although I do like Spuffy). But it was sort of like watching porn. Without the nudity. I mean, the way Buffy was...you know, riding Spike? I didn't expect it to be that dirty, lol.

You though that scene was dirty, obscene and porn-like?

Boy, have you been watching some lameass porn movies. 😉

No, I didn't like it... I think it was the only Spuffy scene I didn't like. I personally found it VERY disturbing... like... I mean... it's seems so obnoxious and in-your-face... and they just so happened to make it that even over the music and cracking and falling you can still hear Buffy's (or Spike's, I forget) zipper. The whole scene is just out of no where, even though we know it's going to happen.

well here's my take on this. i too found this scene very disturbing (not as disturbing as the sex scene between them on the balcony of the bronze, but a close second). but i truly believe that was the point. i mean think about this, buffy is having sex with a vampire, an actually creature of the night, soulless demon. this isn't beautiful "i'm in love" sex with angel, this is destructive "i don't give a ****" sex with spike, one of the most evil vampires around. i think the house collapsing around them is a serious metaphor to what this relationship is and what it will do to buffy. disturbing was the point, i think joss nailed this scene.

nicely put
i was a bit shocked at the episode but didnt find it disturbing , I think with spike, buffy could really let go and be herself, she could show him her wild side and let her inhibitions go . he never judged her!

Well I'm a massive spuffy fan, So I loved this scene. I didn't think it was disturbing, My personal opinion is that this scene nailed the brutality and passion that Buffy and Spike share and I honestly think the creators of Buffy did an awesome job ( Woop Woop go Joss! 😛 ) . The violent build-up, The beautiful music and The collapsing building combine to make a truly breathtaking scene. But Its possible that I only liked it because I love spike, lol. 😀

This scene is pretty artistic, if you ask me, with the music, expressions, building collapsing, the darkness. I love this scene! it's amazing. People who don't love it are usually Buffy/Angel shippers. This scene is simply art. But don't think that I think every Spuffy scene is art. the balcony scene (dead things) is not really art. it's disturbing. But it is intense. to sum up... This scene rocks! :coolman:

okay this is exactly... its.. i agree :silly: its defintely artisitic.. it was so intense... defintely... and the fact they put the building collapsing so it was silent.. that created the intensity of it all!
