Freddie Prinze Jr. to Star in No Heroics U.S. Remake - Film Junk

Freddie Prinze Jr. will star in the American version, along with Paul Campbell, Eliza Coupe and Arielle Kebbel. Apparently they are changing the names of the heroes and their powers, since Campbell will play Chillout, "a Canadian-born superhero who can freeze small objects", while FPJ's character is Ultimatum, an "egotistical Alpha male who has all the women and fame and money a guy could want". I've seen the first couple of episodes from the original's 6-episode run and wasn't that impressed. It just seemed like they were trying too hard to make raunchy sex jokes. I'll be curious to see how the U.S. version plays out, but considering that Pearce is involved, along with American co-writer Jeff Greenstein (Will & Grace), I'm not expecting a big difference.
