So who else can't wait for Arrow?

Hartley Green Arrow was a lot more comedic than Amells one, thats just how the show itself is. Arrow is a lot darker than Smallville was and there is nothing wrong with that. I actually really like the direction they are taking the show although it definitely seems very reminiscent of Batman Begins.
 
SPOILERS AHEAD

Did anyone else see the episode tonight? Really good in my books. It was neat seeing them tackle Deadshot, who's a really cool villain in the comic books. They did him much, much better than Smallville did in S10 (I think it was S10. Might have been S9). Those tattoos were pretty nuts (although, they don't exactly scream "master criminal").

Again, I'm really digging all the main actors, particularly Oliver and his sister. The flashbacks continue to be cool. It's a lot of fun watching Oliver as a civilian too, which is something the show seems to have learned well from the Batman movie franchise.

The ending was awesome too. I'm excited to see where things go from here with Oliver and his bodyguard finding out he's Green Arrow.

So far, this has been my favorite series of the new T.V. season.
 
When Green Arrow was first written, the character was supposed to be a very close copy of Batman, and it's interesting that they're doing just about the same thing on the TV show. Do you think that his sister is supposed to wind up being his sidekick? As I recall from, lo, those many years ago, the original Speedy was raised and taught archery by an old Indian (Native American variety) holy man who, on his death bed, instructed him to seek out the greatest bowman in the world and continue his training. Not much chance of that with Ollie's kid sister.

Well, DC just did a near-total reboot of their entire main continual universe, and the Green Arrow mythos were dramatically revamped. To be honest, I'm not even sure (without checking) if Roy Harper Jr. is still a part of the new DC. He went through some pretty huge (and pretty stupid) changes in the last two years or so. I know that Mia, the new Speedy, is still around.

They may have laid the foundation on the show, but I don't think they'll introduce Oliver's sister as a superhero, if ever, for a long time. So far the series reminds me quite a bit of early-Smallville, when the series was focused on Clark as opposed to Superman. Sure, Green Arrow is in every episode in costume, but the focus of Arrow so far seems to be on Oliver, and I'm liking that.
 
It's very batman begins-esque. And can we expect Dinah "Laurel" Lance to become a non superpowered Black Canary? P.S. am I the only one who finds Thea kinda hot lol.

I totally missed that, and I'm a huge Nightwing fan! When did he say it? Kind of weird too because Bludhaven was completely destroyed in Infinite Crisis (although that may not count anymore with the DC relaunch).

I've watched the first two episode and I am really enjoying it. Is it just me or is Oliver's house the Luthor Mansion from Smallville (its been a while since I've watched Smallvilee but I thought it looked familiar?).
 
The last ep was so so good!!!!! I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

It's funny, for a long time I really didn't watch any new shows and now I'm totally hooked on 3

Arrow, Beauty and the Beast and Elementary.

I have been watching those 3 new shows plus revolution, Vegas, and a bunch of shows that have recently started new seasons. And Jules, it really does look just like the Luther mansion lol.

Did anyone see the last episode, from Wednesday? I just watched it now on PVR, and it might have been the best one yet. Seeing Deathstroke live on screen was incredible, and it was nice seeing him actually done well, because he's the type of super-villain who could have come across as really lame in the wrong hands. That really happened with Deadshot on Smallville. Loved Slade catching that arrow though, awesome spot.

And it's funny. For a "superhero show", Green Arrow in costume wasn't even in the episode until the very end. It was all Oliver up until that point. Just reinforces what I've been saying that the guy is carrying the show far more than the attraction of seeing a superhero.
 
It was a really good episode. It's nice to see Oliver taking care of loose ends like this. Though, once again, I must rant about Laura. She should be fired by this point. No DA is going to tolerate one of their attorneys defending a man her office is actively prosecuting.
