This occurred to me a little while ago and now it's really bugging me so I'm gonna throw out to people to try and solve it and then I can sleep again 😉

Right, we all know how the slayer gig goes - One dies, another is chosen. So when Buffy drowned we had Kendra, and when Kendra died, Faith was called. This all made sense.

But here's my problem - When Buffy died in The Gift why wasn't another slayer chosen?! Am I missing something glaringly obvious? Has it been mentioned in the series and I just missed it? Did Buffy just cock up the whole slayer-calling process by not actually dying in the first place? Seriously it hurts my brain!

I've discussed this with a few people and someone suggested that maybe as they knew Faith was still alive, albeit in prison, there was no need for a new one. But, when Kendra died, they knew Buffy was actually still alive the whole time, so that theory wouldn't work.

The Potentials have also been offered as a reason but I disagree as they came in way after Buffy died. Someone help me, its driving me crazy to think that there could be such a continuity error in the show.

So yeah...go nuts 🙂

Sorry hun! We're all just really sick of this question.
Human beings have a polite function. Use it. Jeez.

I'll go there then, thanks for all your help.

Actually, they do BUT the problem is, if you took the time to have a look through the community you would see that this has been commented on MANY times.

There should be a rule on Buffy-Boards.
"If you think it, its already been discussed"

Its like rule 34 only less nudity!

When you join you're directed to all the FAQ's and what not and you should go through the often asked questions so that you don't pointlessly ask the same questions over again.

I don't think it is impolite to ask someone to use the search function what I do think is impolite is coming onto a board, not reading the often asked and FAQ's THEN bitching at an established member for giving you the heads up on a function.

Whatever. No surprise that you've thrown your two cents. Who else could be so apt to comment on bitching and being rude and impolite?

In future I will make sure to use your little search box 😉

Im beginning to enjoy your little back and forths ;)
Aww poor Flannen *hugz* It's ok...i've done that sort of thing before...i left basically the same comment as someone else and got told off for it 😛 But trust me you never do it again!! *Hugglesquish!*

Well quite, but you see the difference is, you're bitching is misplaced because the person who gave you the correct advice on what to do was helping you out.

These last two comments have actually shown you to be a rather rude, pointless, new member to this community.

I might be rude but only to be who deserve it.

You don't like any of it, including using the 'Search' function, well you know where the log out is, I'm sure there are many Buffy communities out there that would like to bolster their membership with people like you - I hear ********* lets anyone in!

Did I say I didn't like the search function?! I will genuinely use it in future.

Most of your posts show you to be a rather rude member of this community also. And if anything was going to make me decide to log out, it wouldn't be a search function, it would be people like you who use the anonymity of the Internet to pick arguments with people.

And doesn't this, in fact ALL discussion forums, let anyone in?

Thing is, 'people like me' also includes you. You thrive off arguing, just like I do. Hence, the clash.

Don't let it get to you, Flan. Some folks just have trouble remembering that a question is a request for information, and not an invitation for sarcasm. Just don't judge the rose bush by a few briars.
Okay, let's all take a step away from the keyboard and release this very manly (or womanly) thing the other way. No sense fighting about it. The rules have been communicated and understood, case closed.

:grouphug:

So I was wondering, if Buffy Boards ever dies, does that mean another forum will be called? Or does a Faith forum have to die before another one is called? Because frankly, I haven't seen that many forums entirely devoted to the character of Faith.

It lets people in, but Buffy-Boards isn't afraid to ban members that can't be bothered with the rules.

There is no 'clash' here because you actually don't rate anywhere on my scale.

The only thing that has even mildly registered is the fact you attacked someone not because they disagreed with you but instead gave you a helpful hint.

Don't ever try and put yourself in the same catagory as me, I would never attack someone for being helpful.
When I do 'argue' generally it is because someone has made a cretinous comment, shown their total ignorance or have been plain rude themselves.

You make rash generalisations about someone you don't even know, you make an assumption that in reality I don't take people to task for their stupidity or stand up for someone who, whether I like them or not, doesn't deserve the injustice.

You're wrong, and the actual fact is there are members on this board who have witnessed that.

This is where your argument falls short.

So again, you might like the anonymity of the net because in reality you're a coward, but don't assume everyone is like you because we are nothing alike.

I'm happy to admit I was wrong, and was maybe predisposed to take the heads up as a rude comment - for that I apologise.

In response to the 'rash generalisations' comment. You did exactly this with me, with the 'people like you' comment; in which you have hastily categorised me with a certain type of 'people.'

And so as many members have witnessed I was wrong, I would like them to see that I apologise itsxpaperdoll for jumping down your throat, it was unfair and I should have thought about what you were trying to say before hastily responding, which I will do in future 🙂

Apologies more than accepted :)

You'd already put yourself into that catagory before I even entered the thread by your unnecessary attack.

Now, as you've apologised, the matter is done.
