Maybe this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it, so...
As vampires, how did Spike and Dru get back into his home? His mother obviously didn't invite them in, because she was surprised to see him. Assuming that there were any servants, they would almost certainly not live there in the house, so they couldn't have done the inviting. Even if they did, I would think that the area that constituted their "home" would be their private quarters, not the entire house. Angel had to trick his baby sister into inviting him into his former home, so the invitation rule applies there just like any other human home.
So, did I miss something, or did the writers just commit a little screw up that no one else caught?
