Spike's arrival in season 5

Ok, I've just seen the Buffy S7 finale. For the benefit of those who haven't seen it yet, I won't spoil it by telling you the ending.

For those who HAVE seen it, anyone care to speculate on how exactly Spike is going to make the transition to Angel next season?

P.S. Anyone know the date season 5 starts?
 
Well in the Buffy forum I speculated that maybe Spike is the 'major player in the apocalypse' and that it is he who gets to 'shanshu' instead of Angel, thus meaning that he is human for series 5. But maybe they bring him back another way by magic.
 
I love Angel, but Spike CHOSE to have a soul, Angel didn't. I think that makes Spike a little more worthy of the shanshuing than Angel. But either one would be cool with me 🙂
 
Angel's on the road of redemtion (sp?) but what if in the end the powers let him be Angelus again as a reward for being good for over 100 yrs? (silly i know)

Spike intentially went to Africa to get his chip out but the demon could see what he was thinking about when it was time for the wish to be granted..... Buffy... and the demon restored his soul instead.... he could see what Spike really wanted to give Buffy.

And also i think everyones getting sick of the whole Spike is better than Angel... Angels better than Spike thing..... And he does'nt deserve this and he does'nt deserve that if you don't have anything nice to say about a character don't say it at all! I personally like both characters and i think the actors that play them are great and it takes guts to go up and audition!!
 
I'm thinking Shashu... i've wanted this for a while... it's much better... i can imagine how pissed angel would be... and even better, "wesley, you got the prophecy wrong, again"
Also, no matter how much a champion Angel is, he has never done something like Spike in Chosen, yeah, the *thing on his neck* had alot to do with that... but still he was the one who did you know what to the you know whats

was that spoilerless? or i just suck?
 
I don't think the question is HOW would Angel bring Spike back, I think it's more WHY would Angel bring Spike back.

As far as Shanshu goe's I doubt that Angel or Spike will get it in season 5. You see the one thing Buffy's ever wanted is to have a normal life so
in the last episode that is what Joss gave her
. Now the one thing Angel has ever wanted is to be human. So I think when Angel doe's end that is when he will be Shansued. To make it a nice ending. I'm not sure if Spike will be Shansued. Ok so he went and got a soul out of his own free will (unlike Angel), but he's reasons where not because he wanted to be a better person (or demon). He did it for a girl. So you can't say he did it for the good of mankind. Angel may not have asked for a soul but when he got it he started helping. Angel has saved more lives (and souls) then Spike ever will. He's also helped stop 4 apocalypse's (He's most recent being Jasmine). Now I'm not saying I don't want Spike to be Shansued but if you think Angel has done everything Spike has and more. So in truth he doe's deserve it more. But I love both vamps so I'm happy either way.
 
i've been wondering how he'd come to Angel....i mean, where did his soul go? maybe the Powers that Be did something that made him come back....okay, i'm gonna watch Chosen again before i come up with a more solid theory 😉

I just don't understand...i just don't understand. Spike became the major player, what happened.

As I said in my post for Chosen, Spike will pull a Darla and get resurrected as a human. That's the only way he can come back in my opinion.😕 😕

as far as the Shanshu deal goes, the prophesy which reads "the vampire with a soul, etc..." could be speaking of the generic vampire with a soul, much like the phrase "the man who step on a rake will get thwapped on the head" speaks of the generic man, maybe its saying that any vampire with a soul will become human once their destiny is complete

I reallly dont think that theyll will bring spike back as human...... cos if he were to come back as human why would he go to angel in LA instead of going straight to buffy if he loves her so damn much

no as ive said before, heres what i think:
Angel now owns the l.a part of wolfram and hart.......
isnt it THEY who were able and had th knowledge to bring back darla? well, now dat angel owns da place, and that spike is supposed to be on angel... maybe hes the one whos gunna bring him back

theres also the amulet, it came from wolfram and hart as well and it sorta kinda caused spikes death.... so maybe theres something about it with being able to bring him back
so basically its all in angels hands *or almost* since angel is damn damn powerfull now 😀

(just when i thought he couldnt get any sexier, he gets sexier 😉 )
 
I'm sorry, but it would really suck *ss if Spike was Shanshu-ed. It would be sooo incredibly stupid. Like Gwen Raiden 415 said, so what does Angel get for 100 years of being good? A cookie? On the other hand, if that cookie is Buffy....hehehehehe lololol

How Spike died was incredibly noble and although bringing him back would kind of rui nthe significance of it, I won't mind that much. The Shanshu Prophecy makes the most sense because having two vampires with souls on the same show may not be necessary. Becoming human will (and has, "I Will Remember You") make Angel considerably weaker, and since he is the title, character, I am thinking they will give this priviledge to Spike. It will also bring good dialogue and events with Angel trying to comprehend how Spike was technically "more good" than he was, especially since he originally wanted to use the amulet and it could be him. I cna just see Spike walking into Wolfram and Hart in broad daylgiht in either the fina lmoments of the Season 5 premiere, or the end of the teaser in 5.2 and saying something like "Well, Lookee who's human!". Hopefully this will prove to be interesting and maybe they will even show the clip of Spike dieing in the "Previously On" sequence at the beginning. When I meet J. August Richards this August, I will see what I can get out of him regarding Spike.

I totally agree with Lorne The Host, I'm thinking Shanshu! Someone said something to me about how now that Angel works for Wolfram & Hart, he has the power to bring Spike back. I thinking, why would Angel do that, he doesn't even like Spike. I definitely think that however Spike comes to join Angel, it won't be at Angel's choosing.

Cant they both be hott so very hott super humans that can have ok never mind on that i wish them both to be human but YAY on the whole Spike and Angel thing!!!
