Yes, exactly... I really hope this means we'll start seeing Nick a lot more in guest-starring roles, and maybe even on another series as a regular soon.

Seconded.

Private Practice isn't the biggest Shonda Rhimes show but it still big enough that word would get around of his performance.

I kinda love that it was a self-professed Buffy nut's show that gave him this spring board.
 
He was really proud of this role when I talked to him at Austin Con. I think he had fun promoting his role as a rapist... so different from Xander.

I haven't watched this scene yet... but during his Q & A, someone said to him that this role ruined Xander for her. I thought that was silly. I can see the episodes of PP being strange to watch, because Nicholas Brendan is forever tied to the Xander role, but I can't imagine not being able to watch him on Buffy without picturing the rapist role.

It is silly to say that a different character in a different TV show doing something awful ruins another character in another TV show just because it was played by the same actor.
 
My mom watches private practice; and she usually sets them to DVR so she can watch them on her days off. I was passing through the living room at the end of the episode where the attack happens. I feel very uncomfortable watching any material having to deal with abuse or rape. But OMG when I realized who it was on screen. I haven't managed to see all of his screen time; but kudos to the man for not milking the Xander role like most actors would do.

Watching Nick in this role didnt ruin Xander, it only made me appreciate Nick as an actor way more than before. He was amazingly creepy in this role.
 
It made me really respect him as an actor. He did an amazing job in this role. He was a creepy clinically insane psycho rapist searching for a way to control the world around him. It was one of the best, most realistic rapes I've seen on TV. I applaud him for it.
 
I hate his character on Private Practice. Im a huge fan of the show and I was so pissed what he did.

But he did do a great job playing this character. Very very creepy. Especially in the interrogation room.

Brendon should be proud, it displayed how diverse an actor he is.

Hopefully casting agents took notice and it will bring more non-Zander roles his way.

And I hope he gets a an Emmy nomination for his guest appearance.

I lost all of my patience with BOTH GA and PP, when they
killed George off and put Charlotte/Cooper together instead of Cooper/Violet.
Sorry, but Shonda Rhimes infuriates me and as much as I love Nicholas Brendan, I don't think this will be a storyline that I will tuning in for.
