Spring Clean ๐Ÿ˜

Sorted out my baking drawer, I have plenty of flour, however I did throw away some opened packets of seeds and dried fruit. Not sure when I'd opened those!

I have too much flour now! I got those big glass jars with clip lids to keep pests out, but then ordered the 2 kilo bags of flour instead of 1! I was going to put them package and all in the jars, but had so much that I had to empty the packs into the jars. I rarely even use that much so getting 2 kilos was dumb.

Kitchen is a mess right now but will be an easy clean once I pack the dishwasher. Vacuuming is next again because I clipped the dogs paws again.
I was asked to wash the 3 year old horses tomorrow and I dont know how much energy I will have after that. So i cant make my list too long. I do have clothes and sheets that need to come in from the line and then I can wash some bunny rugs that have been airing out on the big line a while.

I rearranged my bedroom a little bit the other day so now I have a lamp in there and can read a book in bed, rather than relying on my phone. Its nice!!! I wish I had thought of it sooner. Its really lovely. Same with the fish pond, I wish I had set that up sooner, its so lovely to sit on the patio and read near running water. Finally feels like a home here instead of a house Im staying at.

I tidied out the cupboard under the sink. This included consolidating 11 different spray bottles in three different types of cleaner, eight of which were not quite empty, into three different bottles, all of which are now about half full. Also getting rid of lawnmower blades for the lawnmower that broke and blades that never fitted it in the first place, as well as getting rid of a sink plunger that had broken and been replaced yet still kept.

It is now much cleaner and tidier under there and I mostly filled a bin bag with rubbish. I have no idea how all that stuff managed to fit in there in the first place!

I did that cupboard recently, so it's not too bad. What I need to do is go through the bedside tables and sort those out. I think one just has scarves in!

I know one of my bedside tables is just full of books.
Finally got tired of looking at the fuzzy mess of a mirror over the fireplace and all the bric-a-brac on the fireplace mantle looking like it was out of focus and cleaned the mirror and all the couple of dozen pieces of stuff on the mantle. I tried Oxy Clean on the mirror - not powerful enough. I tried Windex but that stuff never works. I tried using the combination sponge and squeegee that I use in the car. It took about six tries to get enough water on the mirror and the final load had some vinegar in it as well and that more or less got down to the glass. You could see this brown liquid building up under the squeegee as the squeegee went down the glass. Tar and nicotine are very hard to eliminate but I am glad I did it.

Im gona be one of those pissfart around on the patio days. There is so much to do outside. So I need a list for inside
Dust the fans!
Wash the sheets
Clean the bunny pen
Cook food that isnt chips or noodles and eat that food.

I need to clean the windows, and take the one blind down and see if I can wash it somehow.

If its a blackout curtain dont put it through the washing machine! I learned that from experience. Hung them back up and they werent nearly as thick as they were before the wash! Maybe steam clean?

Today is for dusting ๐Ÿ˜€ Just seems like a nice day to do that. All the windows and front door are open to air it all out. Possibly the few warm days before it gets too cool. I love the furniture polish and am using it on all the window sills and door frames and skirting boards. Next is the spare room - a very very slow sort of that. I wont tackle it as a big job, just a chip-a-way job or throwing out old crafts and sorting yarn.

I want to clean out the corner of my patio again now the snakes are not so scary. Lots of buckets, cans that I have collected on walkies, plants and garden tools. Hopefully it can look a bit neater, but its a dark and creepy corner so there is only so much improvement that I can do to it.

I moved some furniture out of the spare room today. Now I can get to all the balls of yarn.

Kitchen is main priority today, but I know I have to cook today, so we'll see how clean it gets.

my cans and bottles are sorted into bags, now in the carport next to the car. I took 3 buckets of leaves out, found a greenhouse still in its packet with the bottom rotted out. I have 3 chairs in there to move to the shed. Might be a good place to grow some ivy, something easy and neat that doesnt drop many leaves. Although the leaves from the willow will still land there anyway.

Must put the washing on first thing tomorrow morning.
I have a bag of bottles in the car ready to take to the golf club.
Gotta make another bonfire and then blower the patio because its a mess! And i trek that mess into the house.
House needs vacuuming desperately, ordered some more vacuum bags with fast delivery but they still wont get here til next week.

Spring clean?

Just Febreze it! kidding! I do really like Febreze though especially the vanilla and cinnamon one!

I need to turn my mattress over, it's such an effort to do.

Same! It is supposed to be rotated, then flipped, every few months, but it is heavy, large and inconveniently shaped for doing so.
