1. What, in your opinion, would be the worst thing Joss could do to the Spike/Buffy relationship in season 9?

1. What, in your opinion, would be the worst thing Joss could do to the Spike/Buffy relationship in season 9?

To turn them into "just friends". But it's highly unprobable. I expect a lot of banter, UST and maybe a major conflict between then (like, for example, Spike visiting Angel and Buffy lashing out at him for it).

2. Will you hold it against Buffy if it is revealed she can't stop loving Angel, even after the "Twilight" fiasco and Giles' death?

Depends on execution. If she inequivocally says, "guys, I'm so in lurve with Angel and we'll marry tomorrow" then I'll be very disappointed. But if she'll forgive him (and I think it will happen eventually) in a way that will show her feelings to him... it depends. So far, Joss has always managed to convince me.

3. What was the first scene that sold you on Spike's love for Buffy? Buffy's love for Spike? The Spike/Buffy 'ship in general?

The final scene in Fool For Love.
The kiss in Intervention.

I think FFL has started my love for Spuffy and Interventions has sealed it.

4. Of all the Spuffy-related (whether they be between Buffy and Spike or any other characters) conversations that never were shown, which would you most want to see?

I wish I could see Buffy and Dawn talking about Spike after his death in "Chosen".

5. Seven sexiest Spuffy moments?

--"Once More With Feeling" kiss. BIG HOLLYWOOD MOMENT.
--"Tabula Rasa" kiss. Scorching.
--Spike's dream in "Out of My Mind". Priceless! 🙂

The only thing I would hate is if we don't see them together very often. I suffered without him in 8. I did enjoy eight but the whole time I just kept wanting Spike to be around. *sad face

I wouldn't hold it against her but I don't think that I could ever get over it. I mean, maybe eventually get past it, but even then, every time I looked at him. . . it would be there. Hovering, like a big black bat-like thing of . . . bigness?

I always thought that he loved her even before he knew it. So I'm not sure when I started thinking that Spike loved Buffy. But once he dreamt that he was, I was pretty convinced that he loved her. He never took love very lightly. In 100 years he was with . . . Dru . . . and that's it. And she was nuts!

I think that Buffy loved him long before she would admit it to herself so maybe even all the way back to in the final episode of season five.

I always loved Spuffy but when Spike defended her to everyone after they banded against her, and then went to find her and help her. . . that's what makes them so special to me. That they help each other.

4. Of all the Spuffy-related (whether they be between Buffy and Spike or any other characters) conversations that never were shown, which would you most want to see?

I'd like to see the moment when Spike told Buffy that Billy Idol stole his look from Spike. Seems like a good time.

5. Seven sexiest Spuffy moments?

1) Does the scene they cut from the beginning of Dead Things count? Cuz. . . oh . . my . . god.
II)Then I actually think, the kiss at the end of Tabula Rasa. It seemed so obvious how much they were into each other at that point.
C)The look on Spike's face when he realized what exactly was happening at the end of
Smashed. You guys know what I'm talking about.
And) Actually, The door scene in dead things, where he senses her through the door and she's on the other side. How can he make door fondling look sexy?
5) Oh the Cuddles! In Touched of course.
VI) Balcony in Dead Things.
Seven) All of Something Blue.

1. What, in your opinion, would be the worst thing Joss could do to the Spike/Buffy relationship in season 9?

Maybe have Spike get back with Drusilla. That'd be really low. Or Spike saying he no longer loves Buffy.

2. Will you hold it against Buffy if it is revealed she can't stop loving Angel, even after the "Twilight" fiasco and Giles' death?

No. She can't help who she loves, and a part of her will always belong to Angel. But she can choose who to be with, and if she chooses Angel again - after everything that has happened - I'd lose a lot of respect for her, yes.

3. What was the first scene that sold you on Spike's love for Buffy? Buffy's love for Spike? The Spike/Buffy 'ship in general?

1. Intervention. Enough said. He risked his life for Dawn when there was nothing in it for him.

2. Sleeper. The look on her face when she rescues...pure love.

3. Out Of My Mind, definitely. The dream sequence where she imagines her coming into his crypt with the intention of staking him, and then kisses him instead...I just about lost it when I first saw that scene. The idea of Spike/Buffy honestly hadn't crossed my mind prior to that, but then that happened...and I couldn't get out of my head but hot they looked together.

4. Of all the Spuffy-related (whether they be between Buffy and Spike or any other characters) conversations that never were shown, which would you most want to see?

Dawn and Spike making up after the AR. His affection for her was one of my favorite parts of the show, and I'm a sucker for Dawn/Spike fics.

I'd also have liked to see Spike apologize to Xander for sleeping with Anya.

Okay, here goes...

1. Out of My Mind Dream Sequence
2. Any scene he kneels at her feet;
1. Fool For Love ("Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.")
2. OMWF ("You know you got a willing slave...")
3. Touched

4. "Tell me you love me..."..."I always want you."

1. What, in your opinion, would be the worst thing Joss could do to the Spike/Buffy relationship in season 9?

Destroy their friendship and trust for each other...again. They came a long way to get it back after s6, and I would hate for Buffy and Spike to lose it again. It's something Buffy and Angel don't have, especially at this point.

2. Will you hold it against Buffy if it is revealed she can't stop loving Angel, even after the "Twilight" fiasco and Giles' death?

Sigh. No, I won't hold it against her, since I know some part of Buffy will always love Angel. However, just because you love someone doesn't mean it's the right person you should be with. Buffy and Angel aren't right for each other IMO.

3. What was the first scene that sold you on Spike's love for Buffy? Buffy's love for Spike? The Spike/Buffy 'ship in general?

On Spike's love for Buffy: The last scene in FFL. Something inside Spike stopped him from killing Buffy. And he ended up comforting her in the best way he knew how, which turned out to be exactly what she needed.

On Buffy's love for Spike: I think it was actually in "Gone," when Buffy kept Spike's lighter. I knew she definitely had feelings for him beforehand, but the fact that she wanted to keep it meant to me that her feelings were developing into something deeper and she wanted something that reminded her of Spike, although she felt her feelings were wrong.

On the Spuffy ship in general: "After-Life." When Spike sees Buffy on the staircase, and Buffy walks downstairs, both staring into each other eyes. And their scene on the couch. I was completely sold. 🙂

4. Of all the Spuffy-related (whether they be between Buffy and Spike or any other characters) conversations that never were shown, which would you most want to see

I would have loved to see Buffy on Spike's motorcycle, like when they went to the bar in "Life Serial." I think those conversations would have been really funny, especially if Buffy was drunk, lol!

Oh geez. Ok, here goes...

1.) End of "Smashed."
2.) Balcony scene in "Dead Things."
3.) Spike's dream in "Out of my Mind."
4.) The door scene in "Dead Things."
5.) Beginning of "Wrecked."
6.) Kitchen scene in "Gone."

I agree that TRYING to make them "just friends" or changing his character...

Nah... if the were ever able to be together without the "epic" obstacles for more than a honeymoon period of say 6 months, she'd see they don't really belong together (as would most Bangels, who, by their own descriptions, would be lost by the last of crossed stars and whatnot).

I have to agree with what's already been said above...

I want to know what they said to one another in Chosen on that last night...

I'm not sure, but I think it's in Potential when she's doing the demonstrations in the graveyard with him and the Potentials...

Make them have superpowers and have a super-frak that destroys the world 😉 But really, the worst thing that could happen is that they do something to the ship that torpedoes it forever. I would prefer ongoing uncertainty and continued ambiguity to that.

2. Will you hold it against Buffy if it is revealed she can't stop loving Angel, even after the "Twilight" fiasco and Giles' death?

Little bit, yeah. I love Buffy and the heart wants what the heart wants yadda yadda yadda . . . but ther has to be a point where Buffy realises that she and Angel are terrible together. I would have a hard time relating to a Buffy who would want to have a physical relationship with the man responsible for Giles' death.

3. What was the first scene that sold you on Spike's love for Buffy? Buffy's love for Spike? The Spike/Buffy 'ship in general?

Spike's love for Buffy - the OOMM dream. He dreamt it, I believed it
Buffy's love for Spike - this is harder to pin down - my opinion changes so often - probably season 7 and all the effort she goes to to rescue Spike and that look on her face when she does.
The Spuffy ship - Something Blue!!! I wanted buffy and Spike together from the moment I daw that episode!

4. Of all the Spuffy-related (whether they be between Buffy and Spike or any other characters) conversations that never were shown, which would you most want to see?

Buffy telling him about the body swap, the conversation on the back steps after Fool For Love ended, Their night in the basement in Chosen, and I would love to know how Buffy found out that Spike was alive - I can't believe that the comic people don't think that is important enough to give us even a scrap of information on!

5. Seven sexiest Spuffy moments?

Just off the top of my head...
1. The Once More with Feeling kiss
2. Smashed
3. Dead things and the door of Spikes crypt
4. "Tell me you love me" in As You Were
5. Buffy's 'dark place' thoughts in Last Gleaming
6. The dream sequences - Spike's in OOMM and Buffy's in Dead Things
7. Gone - Invisible Buffy and Spike "exercise"

If they start to drift away from each other; start to take each other for granted and "move on" without acknowledging what they had and at the very least becoming closer friends.

Slightly, yes. I mean, she can't help how she feels so I wouldn't be actively disappointed in her-- of course, it all depends on how much she loves him and what she plans to do with that love. If it was more sentimental than anything else, I probably wouldn't mind. But if it was enough to want to be with him or make her forget about Spike? Ugh...Honestly, in the entire series she has made many mistakes and I always understood why she made each one. This I would be monumentally confused about.


3. What was the first scene that sold you on Spike's love for Buffy? Buffy's love for Spike? The Spike/Buffy 'ship in general?

I saw Spike's love for Buffy as real and beyond just an "obsession" after "Intervention." No question.
Buffy's for Spike? That's hard. I saw bits and pieces of it in season 6, when she decided to leave him for his own good. When it became clear that she respected him. When she shed a tear for him in "Beneath You."
But I wasn't truly convinced until the end of "Showtime." That look was all love.


4. Of all the Spuffy-related (whether they be between Buffy and Spike or any other characters) conversations that never were shown, which would you most want to see?

Dawn forgives Spike for AR.

They discuss why they didn't contact one another post Chosen. (I mean, other than the logistics of Sarah not wanting to appear on Angel... 🙂 )

What did they say or do on the night before the final battle?

What happened after the end of FFL? Did they talk? Did Buffy kick him out or let him sit there longer?

They discuss their pasts. Spike tells Buffy about himself when he was her age.

They reminisce about how each one felt about the other when they first met! And they have a good laugh over it.

Gone- Scene in kitchen, scene by front door (I'm counting this as one 🙂 )

Gone- Scene in top level of crypt

Dead Things- Bronze scene

Potential- Graveyard scene

In the words of my dear William "I prefer not to think of such dark, ugly business at all... I prefer placing my energies into creating things of beauty."

2. Will you hold it against Buffy if it is revealed she can't stop loving Angel, even after the "Twilight" fiasco and Giles' death?
Yes. She would not be my role model anymore. I mean... I don't think she'll ever stop loving Angel. But if she goes back to him and says "all is forgiven and everything is good and I want to be with you" and Bangel wins out in the end... I'd be pissed.

3. What was the first scene that sold you on Spike's love for Buffy? Buffy's love for Spike? The Spike/Buffy 'ship in general?
This is all from my first watch. In hindsight, I can see evidence of love earlier than this... but this is where I saw it in my first watch

Spike's love for Buffy: Out of My Mind dream
Buffy's love for Spike: I knew she had feelings for him with the Intervention kiss but it wasn't until she saved in in Show Time where I first was sold that she loved him. Although in my first watch, I still wasn't sold on the ship yet.

4. Of all the Spuffy-related (whether they be between Buffy and Spike or any other characters) conversations that never were shown, which would you most want to see?
I want a talk after Chosen about what happened down there. I want one between Buffy and Spike, but I expect that in season 9. It's one of the things that if I don't get it, I'm going to be really angry. But I really want to see one between Spike and Dawn about that. Also a Spike/Willow conversation about the same thing.

I'm just throwing this out there; if you happen to see a television show premiere in the next decade which seems like the perfect mix between Lost, Buffy and a Humphrey Bogart film; I've made the big time.

Just feel the need to post in a feeble attempt to justify my insanity. I can't stop reading Spuffy fanfics and rewatching (now that i've caught up fully on S8 comics) all of the Spuffy episodes.

I see so many more things with each rewatch, especially going back now. I still just can't figure everything out...Buffy in S6 still baffles me a bit.

Just wondering...does anyone else's appreciation for Spuffy change with rewatches?

Also, I can't wait for S9 Buffy to come out, in light of that preview page up on that thread...we had better get some Spuffy snogging.

Just wondering...does anyone else's appreciation for Spuffy change with rewatches?

My appreciation for Spuffy grows with each re-watch. When I first started, I didn't like Spuffy because I thought Buffy wasn't nice enough to Spike. Every re-watch, I catch something new she did that was nice... and how when she was mean... he kinda needed that. I also catch times where he wasn't too nice to her... and their ability to forgive each other and grow from their mistakes together inspires me... and I see it more every time I re-watch even an episode.

Same here. Every time I re-watch I love them more. Both Sarah and James are very brilliant at portraying subtlety. And that's a big part of the Spuffy package.

I am so excited about the re-watch I am doing right now because I am paying so much more attention to everything than I used to. It's like comprehensive reading, but comprehensive Buffy watching instead. . .
