anyone who spends an ounce of time on this board should know by now that my heart belongs to Spuffy. i was shipping Spuffy from, i think, some time in S4. 'cause, really, there's no one else for Buffy.

I prefer Spuffy because it's such a grown-up, real relationship, but Bangel is nice, too, for its fairy-tale, doomed-ness. I think they both served the purposes they needed to serve. And I don't like seeing either boy with anyone but Buffy.

I've only really become a firm Spuffy since I joined the boards. I liked Bangel when they had their relationship, but it wasn't something I would have liked for Buffy to go back to. Spike seemed like someone with whom she could have moved forward (you know, had he not died). The relationship was more fitting for an adult. So that's why I'm a Spuffy instead of a Bangel. Really, though, I liked Xander's relationships and Willow's relationships (minus Kennedy) a lot more than I liked any of Buffy's romantic entanglements.

Thank you for providing this web site address. I had heard you talk about "Ducks" before, and have been meaning to ask just where I could find her or him. Be assured that I will read the material carefully and no doubt enjoy it as well as I enjoy any of the better Spuffy writers.

I like them both, So if she winds up with either of them I'd be happy. And I don't see either relationship as less, she felt true love with Angel, she felt adult love with Spike. Both are worthy of the Buff so either of em would make me happy.

I'm pretty sure that the term Bangel wasn't mentioned in the series, nor was Spuffy. That puts them outa the proverbial window.....how-ever Faithy was so it's obviously Faith and Buffy.
But just for you Bangs and Spuffs if Faithy was spelt with an 'e' that would indicate Faith and Riley, so Buffy would have to go to the Prom alone, again !

erm...neither? 😛 As someone said earlier, I liked Xander and Willow's relationships much more than any of Buffy's. I somewhat enjoyed Ruffy in early season 5. But, if I had to pick from Bangel or Spuffy...no I simply can't. Hated them both 😛

Bangelxx...I have SO much respect for you right now. Having the bravery to open up a Spuffy or Bangel thread takes a lotta guts...some of which might be ripped out in the possibly ensuing board conflict. 😉

K, so I like both ships. I know, I know. But deep, deep down inside, I prefer Bangel. If it all ever comes to a true end, I want a fairytale ending, with Buffy and Angel. I never get tired of watching "IWRY". Never!

While Spuffy was a "mature" relationship, it lacked that magic/chemistry, for me, that Buffy and Angel had. We don't know what a mature relationship would have been like with Buffy and Angel, because they weren't given the chance. And it seems like it will be a long time coming, if ever, before we see it. (haha, like that quote? Thought ya did!)

Seeing as how Angel and Spike both are at IDW and Buffy is with DH, then I think both us Bangels and Spuffies are s.o.l. in the canon department. We must resort to our fanfic, for the fairytale we want.

If, I can't have Angel or Spike end up with Buffy, then I would rather see a new guy brought in to steal her heart. Maybe a male slayer, that would be pretty cool. Ok, I'll turn the rambling off now.
