But why do you say it's a "fact" that Buffy and Spike won't make it? Why do you try to crush what little hope I have left? 🙁
I'm just trying to prepare myself for the worst.
🙂
In my heart, they're always be together.
Don't forget, apaprently there's something in store for us that will drive us "wild." Perhaps there is hope for the Spuffies yet.

I pretty much accept that, more than likely, Buffy and Spike will not "end up" together. I don't mind - I don't ship them for the happy ending. I don't like white-picket-fence-happy-ever-after-lovey-dovey-mushy-over-the-top-romantic-speechifying couples. That's why I love Buffy and Spike. Because they are the antithesis of stereo-typical romance and yet, I still find them undeniably romantic. They have a connection that is superior to any other relationship in the 'verse and I think that that will only ever change when they both die. Buffy may live 'happily ever after' with someone else, but they'll always have to contend with Spike's presence in her life (and heart).
Agreed totally. This is exactly how I feel as well. You've said it perfectly.
And then I remember Joey and Pacey and think, well you never do know how it's gonna turn out...
Good point. I was always a big Joey/Pacey shipper, but honestly never thought they'd end together. After all, the show was always "about" her and Dawson. Yet, in the end, look how it turned out. So there is hope.
Any thoughts regarding Georges Jeantry's recently expressed opinion that "
it's no secret that Buffy loves Angel more than Spike"
(see
Whedonesque for link)
My thoughts? It makes me sad. But yes, it's just his opinion so I will choose to ignore it. Maybe that's called denial, I'm not sure.
It's just that lately...the Bangel's seem to be winning this little war of ours. Hell, even the writers of the series are freking Bangels. It's all looking very bleak for us.
Even if Buff ends up with Captain Forehead in the end, I'll always 'ship Spuffy. I don't care if they have no future together. Like you say, the impact they had on each other's lives and the connection they had was
real. There's no denying that.

As sueworld put it "why didn't anyone ask him if Angel is so much more important to Buffy than Spike, why is Spike even in the picture? Why not just leave him out of it altogether?"
Anyhow, with the Twangel stunt, Buffy will dust him to hell biggest love of her life or not. She already did it before.
True. She'll do what she has too.
